Guest guest
|| Jaya Jagannath || Dear Manu, We generally use the rasi chart as the basis for prediction and the signs are taken as houses. Bhava chart add some extra flavour to the predictions by showing the intensity of the effect of a planet. For now just remember that if a planet if in Bhava Madhya, the result of that planet shall be very strong while in the Bhava Sandhi the result shall be feeble. However there are still controversies on the correct method of drawing the bhava chart. If you wish you can go ahead with equal house system, where the cusp of all houses equals to the Lagna Cusp and the middle of the two cusps is the bhava sandhi or junction point of bhava. If time permits I shall discuss more on the basis of the equal house system and sripathi system. You can also see that if a planet is present in two different houses based on the Rasi chart and bhava chart, this results in some confusion related to the area indicated by the house/ planet, in the native's life.
