Dear Manu,

We generally use the rasi chart as the basis for prediction and the

signs are taken as houses. Bhava chart add some extra flavour to the

predictions by showing the intensity of the effect of a planet. For now

just remember that if a planet if in Bhava Madhya, the result of that

planet shall be very strong while in the Bhava Sandhi the result shall

be feeble.

However there are still controversies on the correct method of drawing

the bhava chart. If you wish you can go ahead with equal house system,

where the cusp of all houses equals to the Lagna Cusp and the middle of

the two cusps is the bhava sandhi or junction point of bhava. If time

permits I shall discuss more on the basis of the equal house system and

sripathi system.

You can also see that if a planet is present in two different houses

based on the Rasi chart and bhava chart, this results in some confusion

related to the area indicated by the house/ planet, in the native's

life.

Best Wishes

Sarajit

[vedic astrology] Bhava Chart Vs Rasi Chart

Hello,

When should we use Bhava Chart as opposed to Rasi Chart?

The yogas describe the yogas based on houses. These houses are wrt

Bhava Chart or Rasi Chart?

Thanks & Regards,

Manu

Hello Sarajit Ji

Bhava madhya is Nothing but the ascendent degrees and The Bhava house

for lagna is 15 degrees on each side of Ascendant degrees. And then

Chart will be prepared based on degrees of each planet and where

those degrees fall in each house. Am I correct?

The question is because I have asc degrees 25.28 In Virgo. As per my

bhava chart, I have Many planets near to bhava madhya in the house

they are.

Lagna 25.28 In Virgo

Venus 23.32 in Virgo

Sun Atmakaraka 28.11 in Libra

Rahu 25.0 in Saggi 25.0

Ketu 25.0 in Gemini

Moon 25.10 in Capri

Sat® 25.32 in Tau

4.22am

Pune India

1. I have also one more question what if many planet are near bhava

madhya? Specially Moon , sat , Venus in 3 trine and near bhava

madhya then do they become benefic?

2.What are the effects when Rahu and ketu are near Bhava madhya?

3. What if atamakaraka is near bhava madhya?

Regards
