Hi List,

Just want to discuss, how much free will a human being has and can

change his destiny through once life time rather than just blaming

everything on destiny/kismet ????? i think we humans have lot of

free will because GOD has given has that capibility...

Or even free will is controlled by your destiny ???????????

I dont know the answer myself, this topic is open for discussion !!!

Good luck to Indian Cricket Team !!!

thanks

Abhijeet

Dear Viswanadhamji,

It has been quite a long time now since i last responded. i find your

participation in this group has increased in great deal and i am happy about

it. Now coming to the topic under discussion.

You have mentioned about the upachaya houses- 3rd,6th,10th and 11th. Let us look

at Kaalapurusha. Buda and Sani are the lords of these houses(Rahu is also the

co-owner of Kumbha). So far as the gender/linga is concerned for these two

planets there exists a confusion - male/female. When you talk about the

absolute "I" there is no such confusion. What i mean to say is that there is

inherent dualism in these two planets which paves way for options. Should i

lean towards materialism in toto/should i lean towards spirituality in

toto/should i be a disproportionate mixture of these two/should i be a

proportionate mixture of these two?

The 9th and 12th signs of the kaalapurusha are also dual signs. What does these

dual signs indicate? These two signs teach the natural state(sahaja) of dyanamic

silence/sivasakthi swaroopa. The horses are apparently sadhus, but when aroused

exhibit exemplary power(Hayagreeva and horsepower concepts).

Let us take the weaknesses addressed by these planets. Jealousy is addressed by

Buda, Intoxication is addressed by Sani and greed is addressed by Rahu.

Jyotish vidya helps us to understand these temptations in better manner as it is

self luminous(deva and veda are the two sides of the same coin isn't it!).

1,4,7,10 are the kendras called as the sthoola. 2,5,8,11 are the panapharas

called as sookshma. 3,6,9,12 are the apoklimas called as the karana.

When dharma is invoked the lord manifests. This is beautifully explained by

jyotish vidya. When the 9th is invoked, the invocation percolates through 5th

and manifests in 1st. When dharma is invoked the Radha in 5th expresses

herself(bhakthi) and the Lords manifests - 1st(deivagna). On account of the

paraspara karaka priniciples when 9th is invoked the waves create ripples in

3rd(kama),6th(materailistic tendencies) and in 12th(laya). The ripples in turn

create ripples in their corresponding konas(3rd creates ripples in 7th and

11th,6th create ripples in 2nd and 10th, 12th create ripples in 4th and 8th).

In short, no sooner the lord is invoked then we find the entire

personality/individuality undergoes an evoultionary change.

We are currently in Dhanur maasa the 9th sign of the kaalapurusha. We also know

that 1 year of manushyas = 1 day of devas. This Dhanur maasa is the bhrama

muhurtha period of the devas. It is the time when it is said that the gates of

Vaikunta open. There is a subtle hint available here. Dhanur kshetra is the gate

of Vaikunta which in other words mean that 9th is the gate way to the kingdom of

the Lord.

Standing in the gates of the Kingdom of the Lord shall wel join together and say

"AUM NAMO NARAYANAAYA".

Best wishes.

AUM GURUBYO NAMAH

Dear Ananthakrishnanji,

Thankyou for your response and encouragement. i could not write for a long time

on account of various commitments.

i was going through the mails recently written by Narasimha & Partha regarding

Kundalini/chakras. Mails were interesting. i thought i can write a few lines

in this regard.

Panchabhoota tatwa order as given by the sage in BPHS is

Fire/earth/Aakasha/water and Vayu. Retaining this order we can trace this path

in the kaalapurusha jataka as Makara/Kanya/Kataka/Meena and Thula based on the

respective planetary exaltation principles/features.

Now replacing the signs with the chakras we find Mooladhara linked to Mars,

Swadhistana linked to Buda, Manipoora linked to Guru, Anahata linked to Venus

and Visuddhi linked to Sani. Extending this further we get Moon linked to Ajna

and Sun linked to Sahasraara chakras.

Chakras are not traceable in the sthoola sarira but can be traced in Prana

sharira. Beneath the vigrahas in the sanctum sanctorums we find placement of a

suitable chakra and prana pratishta is done thereafter. This gives a subtle

hint, that the chakras can be traced to prana. If we are able to place the

mind in the stream of prana and allow it to sail as per directions/currents of

prana, chakra anubhoothi/experience takes place.

Prana moves in a rotatory fashion(cosmic dance of Nataraja) and at the junction

points of chakras changes directions on account of the intervention. It is

explained that the mind experiences a whirlpool like force at the point of a

chakra and it pops up as linga(called as jyothir lingas/chakra lingas).

In the holy place of Chidambara(holy place of aakasha linga) a special dance

called as ajapa takes place during Aridra star day. In the same temple one can

see Anjaneya in front of Govindaraja swami (not Rama). That is a different

story. You may be aware that Anjaneya is prana personified. It was he who

revealed the great secret that the lord is within(within the Prana). There is

no point in searching for the chakras in the body.

Ajapa means that which is 'not japa'. Ajapa is placement of mind in the stream

of prana. Ajapa thus is a combination of Sani and Moon which is a very

important combination pronounced as a success formula in the world of

spirituality.

The sacred thread worn during the brahmopadesha(done primarily with an intention

of opening up of the third eye) in fact gives a subtle hint relating to the

unison of the three most important nadis viz., ida(moon), pingala(sun) and

sushmna(agni) in the ajna chakra.

We know about sun and moon. Where is this Agni? How to go about kindling this

spark within? If we consult Anjaneya he gives "Rama" as his answer. "Ra" is

agni beeja ruled by Moon while "Ma" is Maatru beeja ruled by Sani. If these two

fire stones are rubbed against each other then the Agni springs forth.

Much revelations can be had from "Vinayagar Agaval" written by the one and only "AVVAI" THE GRANDMA.

i want to write this up just to bring out the importance of MOON - SANI Yoga

keeping the Puri conference on 'Yoga' in mind.

i take this opportunity to wish you, Sanjay, Narasimha and all the list members

a peaceful and prosperous 2004.

i also take this opportunity to wish Sanjay and his team a very successful conference at Puri.

Best wishes.
