Dear Narasimha,

I personally feel that the "chaff from the grain" analogy is quite

apt.

Rishis have always tried to capture Knowledge in mantras and sutras.

Realising that the vehicle requires regenerative capacity, Truth is

always encapsuled in words and phrases. This is similar to the

beejakshara being encapsuled in a mantra. The real seeker will be

able to unravel the Truth through proper study. Thus, all classical

texts have grains of wisdom clothed in words. The real student is one

who knows how to remove the husk and understand the underlying

principle.

However, I also share the view that the classics don't contain chaff

that does not wrap around a sound principle.

Regards,

Arun
