Dear SC,

I am not sure if it was mentioned anywhere. It was taught to me by

Pt. Sanjay Rath and I did not ask him for any references from

classics.

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

PVR

Om Gurave NamahDear SC

Sun is one of the Karaka of the tenth house and is the King of the horoscope.

Its main task is to distribute the different work to all people. It is the

giver of all the bounties of this world. In the classic literature, the Sun is

the Jyoti or light and its adhi devata is agni (light) and Pratyadhi devata is

Shiva. So Jyoti and Linga (Shiva) are the direct reference to Shiva in the form

of worshipping the sun.

The fifth house is for power and authority and the natural lord of the fifth

house of nature (leo) is the Sun.

By worshipping the Sun or shiva we are able to get over the negative effects of

the Saturn (old age, retirement, no job, poverty etc).

So worship the Shiva Jyotirlinga associated with your fifth house in D-10.

In this manner, the knowledge of the Shiva Purana, BPHS and jaimini sutra are to

be assimilated and understood.Best Regards,Sanjay Rathhttp://srath.com
