Hello Jason,

According to what I saw, Singapore's location is :

1 N 16' and 103 E 51'.

Malasia's Central Meridian between the year 1880 to

1905 was 103 E 51' and the time difference was 6 hrs

and 24 mins. From 1905 to 1933 Central Meridian was at

110 E and the time difference was 7 hrs and 20 mins.

I am not sure currently which standard time Malasia

follows. If it follows South Sumatra Standard Time

then the time difference is 7 hrs east of GMT

otherwise the difference is 8 hrs. I am

still searching for your 30 min. change, once I find

the info. I will let you know. I am new to Astrology

so I will let an expert read your chart.

Regards,

Devika

Hi Devika,

Here's what I have gotten for the history time on Singapore and its

reference meridian.

Until 1905 May 31 + 6hr 55m 25s 103 51 16 E

1905 Jun 01 - 1932 Dec 31 + 7hr 00m 00s 105 00 00 E

1933 Jan 01 - 1941 Aug 31 + 7hr 20m 00s 110 00 00 E

1941 Sep 01 - 1942 Feb 15 + 7hr 30m 00s 112 30 00 E

1942 Feb 16 - 1945 Sep 12 + 9hr 00m 00s 135 00 00 E

1945 Sep 13 - 1981 Dec 31 + 7hr 30m 00s 112 30 00 E

1982 Jan 01 - Present + 8hr 00m 00s 120 00 00 E

Technically, in vedic astrology, what coordinate should be use? On

my case, am I right to say that Ishould select 1255am +730 for my

birth time?

Regards.

Hello Jason,

The standard time in a country is generally fixed

according to the central meridian of a country. The

central meridian is not th actual centre or the

longitude in the exact middle of the country or the

political territory it governs, but is generally is

near about the middle. Normally you would have to

calculate the local time by calculating the difference

between the longitude of Central meridian of Malasia

and the longitude of your birth place. Since here you

already have the local mean time, you would add 7 hrs

and 30 mins to your actual birth time which is 12:55

AM.

Devika
