Guest guest
What about in D-10,from lagna in 5th place no planets are there??We have to consider the lord ?? Thanks Raji Rao Nemani <raon1008 > wrote: Dear Narasimha Ji, Guru Ji and Learned Members, Namaste, As per your suggession, I have listened to your Mantras' section of the Achuta CD and recorded the following list of Jyotirlingas. I thought this exercise may be helpful to some of the students like me, so here is my contribution. ====== =========== =====================================Planet Jyotirlinga Mantra to recite====== =========== =====================================Sun Rameswara Om NamahSivaya Namo RameswarayaMoon Somanatha Om NamahSivaya Namo SomanathayaMars Bhimeswara Om NamahSivaya Namo BhimeswarayaMercury Mallikarjuna Om NamahSivaya Namo MallikarjunayaJupiter Omkareswara Om NamahSivaya Namo Omkareswaraya Venus Triyambakeswara Om NamahSivaya Namo TriyambakeswarayaSaturn Kaleswara Om NamahSivaya Namo Kaleswaraya Rahu Nageswara Om NamahSivaya Namo Nageswaraya Ketu Viswanatha Om NamahSivaya Namo Viswanathaya Now I am applying the Principles, to two natives, who have asked me to proide a mantra for their career related, so I am looking at their 5th lord in D-10. Please correct me, if the following examples with the suggested Mantras are correct or not?. Case - 1 :- +--------------+|Sa |Mo Ju | |Me || | | | || | | | || | | | || | | | ||-----------+-----------------------+---------||Ke | |GL || | | || | | || | Case - 1 | || | Dasamsa | ||-----------| |-----------||MaR | D-10 |Ra HL || | | || | | || | | || | | ||-----------+-----------------------+---------||Md AL| |Ve |As Su || | | |Gk || | | | || | | | || | | | |+--------------+ Here the 5th Lord is Saturn, so the corresponding Jyotirlinga is "Kaleswara" and the Mantra is "Om NamahSivaya Namo Kaleswaraya". So If I ask the native to recite the above Mantra 108 times per day would be good for the career?. Case - 2:- +------------+|Ju |AL |Ma Ve | || | |Ke | || | | | || | | | || | | | ||-----------+---------------------+----------||HL | |As Su || | |Mo Gk || | | || | Case - 2 | || | Dasamsa | ||-----------| |-----------|| | D-10 | || | | || | | || | | || | | ||-----------+-----------------------+--------|| |Sa Ra|Me |GL Md || | | | || | | | || | | | || | | | |+--------------+ Here the 5th Lord's are Mars and Ketu. Both are in the same house with Venus, so I thought the stronger would be with the more Longitude value, so in this case, the strongest would be Ketu, hence the corresponding Jyotirlinga is Viswanatha and the Mantra is"Om NamahSivaya Namo Viswanathaya". So If I ask the native to recite the above Mantra 108 times per day would be good for the career?. How many times, one should recite the Jyotirlinga Mantra for the best effects?. Please confirm whether my above is analysis is correct, before I recommend to the native to recite the corresponding mantra for their career stand point. Thanks for your help in adavance. Guest guest
Dear Raji, I think, my understanding is, we have to take only the 5th lord, irrespective of planets there or not in D-10 to find the respective Jyotirlinga for the native's career stand point. Guest guest
Dear Rao, What are the benefits of doing mantra for ones Jyotirlinga and can you expand on Jyotirlinga and what it means, should it be done only for the D10 chart or for every chart. Does Jyotirlinga for the D20 chart plays any prominence more??? Guest guest
Dear Sushmita, Your question had challenged my little knowledge, so I have done some morehomework to answer you question and my understanding is as follows:- As you know, one has to see the various D-Charts for a different matter one is interested. here what I meant is : for example, 1st house is called Tanu Bhava, so the matter it signifies is Self, Temparament, strength and head etc., 5th house is called putra Bhava, so the matter it signifies is Intellect, wisdom, progeny, mantras & Recognition etc., Now combining this with the Divisional charts, we can see a focused area for the native's matter related. Let me take your question as an example: "Does Jyotirlinga for the D20 chart plays any prominence more???". Let us take the basics: 1) What is D-20? A) which is "Vimsamsa" for spiritual pursuits, isn't it. 2) So what is the Karya Rasi, for this?, A) Karya Rasi for this is 8th house, isn't it. So if you find the 8th lord in D-20 and take its corresponding Jyotirlinga and recite the corresponding mantra, which should give the necessary results in one's spiritual pursuits. This is what I am seeing and putting all the pieces together from Narasimha Ji' CD and Narayana Ji's Divisional charts l ecture CD, which is Achyuta CD. I would sincerely recommend to have this CD, as this is a great source for a beginner like me. Also, please remember, I am also a student like you so that above is my understanding only. Now having said that, I will handover this to Guru's and Leanred members and request them to correct me if I am wrong?. Guest guest
Namaste friends, Rao Nemani gave the following wonderful compilation that should be handy to most. However, there are minor mistakes with the use of visarga sandhi. When a sound comes after visarga (h sound as in namah), what happens to it depends on what is before visarga and what is after it. Namah does not necessarily become namo always. If you learn Sanskrit language, you can learn the systematic rules of visarga sandhi (sandhi=joining of two words into one word due to continuous pronunciation). I am correcting the mantras for your reference. > ====== =========== =====================================> Planet Jyotirlinga Mantra to recite> ====== =========== =====================================> Sun Rameswara Om NamahSivaya Namo Rameswaraya> Moon Somanatha Om NamahSivaya Namo Somanathaya> Mars Bhimeswara Om NamahSivaya Namo Bhimeswaraya> Mercury Mallikarjuna Om NamahSivaya Namo Mallikarjunaya> Jupiter Omkareswara Om NamahSivaya Namo Omkareswaraya > Venus Triyambakeswara Om NamahSivaya Namo Triyambakeswaraya> Saturn Kaleswara Om NamahSivaya Namo Kaleswaraya > Rahu Nageswara Om NamahSivaya Namo Nageswaraya > Ketu Viswanatha Om NamahSivaya Namo Viswanathaya Sun Raameswara Om NamasSivaaya NamoRaameswaraayaMoon Somanaatha Om NamasSivaaya NamasSomanaathaayaMars Bhimeswara Om NamasSivaaya NamoBhimashankaraayaMercury Mallikaarjuna Om NamasSivaaya NamoMallikaarjunaayaJupiter Omkaareswara Om NamasSivaaya NamaOmkaareswaraaya (or Om NamasSivaya Namah Omkareswaraya - without sandhi/joining)Venus Tryambakeswara Om NamasSivaaya NamasTryambakeswaraayaSaturn Kaaleswara Om NamasSivaaya NamahKaaleswaraaya Rahu Naageswara Om NamasSivaaya NamoNaageswaraaya Ketu Viswanaatha Om NamasSivaaya NamoViswanaathaaya May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha

Guest guest
Dear PVR, Sorry to bother you with a clarification, you have done some correction to Rao Nemanis post, why is this rule of Visarga Sandhi applied, is there some reasoning behind it could you kindly clarify. Seeing your post, I presume that all of us can finally recite the corrected list given by you on the mantras. Is there some other form of worship apart from mantras to the Jyotirlingas in ones chart. Guest guest
PVR ji Namste Is it not that visraga is kept as it is, if after that there is a hard Vyanjan? I think in the Nam: Shivaya there is Sh as hard Vyanjan and so we must keep the visraga as it is. As in Bala: Khelanti or Shrugal: Palayate. Am I wrong? Please guide. I am correcting the mantras for your reference. > > > ====== =========== ===================================== > > Planet Jyotirlinga Mantra to recite > > ====== =========== ===================================== > > Sun Rameswara Om NamahSivaya Namo Rameswaraya > > Moon Somanatha Om NamahSivaya Namo Somanathaya > > Mars Bhimeswara Om NamahSivaya Namo Bhimeswaraya > > Mercury Mallikarjuna Om NamahSivaya Namo Mallikarjunaya > > Jupiter Omkareswara Om NamahSivaya Namo Omkareswaraya > > Venus Triyambakeswara Om NamahSivaya Namo Triyambakeswaraya > > Saturn Kaleswara Om NamahSivaya Namo Kaleswaraya > > Rahu Nageswara Om NamahSivaya Namo Nageswaraya > > Ketu Viswanatha Om NamahSivaya Namo Viswanathaya > > Sun Raameswara Om NamasSivaaya NamoRaameswaraaya > Moon Somanaatha Om NamasSivaaya NamasSomanaathaaya > Mars Bhimeswara Om NamasSivaaya NamoBhimashankaraaya > Mercury Mallikaarjuna Om NamasSivaaya NamoMallikaarjunaaya > Jupiter Omkaareswara Om NamasSivaaya NamaOmkaareswaraaya (or Om NamasSivaya Namah Omkareswaraya - without sandhi/joining) > Venus Tryambakeswara Om NamasSivaaya NamasTryambakeswaraaya > Saturn Kaaleswara Om NamasSivaaya NamahKaaleswaraaya > Rahu Naageswara Om NamasSivaaya NamoNaageswaraaya > Ketu Viswanaatha Om NamasSivaaya NamoViswanaathaaya > > May Jupiter's light shine on us, > Narasimha

Please guide.> > Thanks a lot for your Time and Space.> > AmolMAndar The first consonant of shiva is not the same "sh" as in "shadripu", which is an alveolar sound. The first consonant in "shiva" is a different "sh". It is a palatal sound. When you pronounce "sh" as in "shadripu", the tongue is raised at the same place where it is raised when pronouncing alveolar "T" (as in Tom). When you pronounce "sh" as in "shiva", the tongue is raised at the same place where it is raised when pronouncing palatal "cha" (as in chamakam). When you pronounce "s" as in "sama", the tongue is raised at the same place where it is raised when pronouncing dental "t" (as in tamas). With sh in shiva, what you said is not right. Namah and Shivaaya are two words. It is ok to pronounce them as two words, with a phonetic gap coming between them ("Namah Shivaaya"). If you join them, it becomes "Namashshivaaya". However, the pronunciation of this "sh" is done wrongly by many north Indians due to the Arabic influence. They pronounce it like "sh" in "shadripu". Many east Indians and some south Indians pronounce it as "s" in "sama" and that is wrong too. It is in between. Somebody else asked about why namah becomes namo sometimes, remains namah sometimes, becomes namas sometimes and becomes nama sometimes. As I said, please learn Sanskrit and learn the rules of sandhi. You will then know. I gave a detailed description of visarga sandhi in an old mail either here or in varahamihira. If somebody has it, please resend it to the list. May Jupiter's light shine on us, PVR
Guest guest
PVR ji Namaste Thanks for the detailed reply. Yes it is not correct to pronounce 'sh' as in 'shadripu' or 'sama' for 'shivaya' but is it wrong to pronounce 'sh' as in 'shishir' as well? In this 'sh' is pronounce with hissing sound and so it is palatal as well but not as 'cha' of 'chamakam'. Or is it that 'shishir' should also be pronounce with 'cha' of 'chamakam'? I tried several times to get the pronounciation as akin to 'cha' in 'shivaya' but it seems to be very difficult! It always comes as sibilating sound. How can we get the sound of 'cha' when no 'cha' is present in the word.Is there any other word where 'sh' is pronounced as 'cha' of 'chamakam'? Please guide. Please pardon if you think that I have crossed my limits by repeatedly putting the question. Thanks a lot for your Time and Space. AmolMAndar vedic astrology, "Narasimha P.V.R. This sha is close to ch, but not the same. When you pronounce ch (Sanskrit ch is slightly different from English ch, but very close), the tongue is raised in the palatal region and the raised portion touches upper membrane, hence blocking the air flow completely, and then the air is let go. The difference with sh in shiva (or shishir) is that the tongue is raised at the *same* place, but the raised portion does not touch the upper membrane of mouth, hence *not* blocking the air flow completely. So you can make the sound "sh" continuously. The same relationship exists between s (in sama) and dental t (in tamas). And, the same relationship exists between sh (in shadripu) and alveolar T (in Tom). May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha
Guest guest
PVR ji Namaste Thanks for the prompt reply. One more doubt. It means that there is no sound of 'ch' in 'shivaya'(?) As you said 'sh' is close to 'ch' but not same. In that case why not to consider 'sh' as 'kathora vyanjan' (Hard Consonant). Because in 'Shishir' we consider 'sh' as 'kathora vyanjan'. So we should take 'sh' of 'shivaya' as 'kathora vyanjan'. Am I on the right path? Please guide. Thanks a lot for your Time and Sapce. vedic astrology, "Narasimha P.V.R.
