Dear Mr. Narsimha,

You have said in recent mail thus :

One big difference between personal readings and celebrity readings is that

celebrity birthdata is sometimes suspect. For example, there are multiple

charts for Schwarzenegger, for Clarke, for Dean, for Clinton, for Tendulkar and

many other celebrities. When we do private charts, people often know the

birthtime within 10 min and it becomes easier to rectify. With some celebrity

charts, you don't even know the lagna for sure. It is not at all easy to

rectify in such cases. This is one problem in celebrity predictions.

I want to personally ask you one question, which I raised to you yesterday

regarding the birth time rectification (BTR) !

Should the astrologers keep their hands up because the birth data under scrutiny

is questionable ? Do not astrologers have any means of rectifying it before the

chart is examined ? Let me tell you, whether it be a case of a celebrity or

anyone, the rules of astrology do not get changed, they remain same.

Till the time BTR is resolved, there is no point reading D-Charts,as they

necessarily require an accurate Lagna cusp !!

At one hand, we talk so high on astrology and on Resp. Parashara, do we have to

say that no firm and workable rules are available in astrology for BTR ?

Your reply is requested !!

Regards,

Vijay Kumar

Namaste,

You misunderstood me. I did not say the rules of astrology change

for celebrities. The problem is not that somebody is a celebrity,

but the problem is that somebody's birthtime is unknown.

If we know that somebody's birthtime is between 2:30 and 2:40, we

can use life events and rectification techniques to find out the

correct time. After all, there are less than 100 astrologically

distinct human beings born in this period and comparing the

individual to each of those is simple.

On the other hand, if the birthtime is known to be between 8 am

and 8 pm (which is the case with some celebrities whose birthtime

is not known), there are thousands of astrologically distinct

human beings born in the period. It is unrealistic to consider all

the possibilities and identify the native out of those thousands.

Thus, birthtime rectification is realistic when a small window of

time (like 10-15 min) is given. When there are many possible

lagnas given, it is very difficult (irrespective of whether one is

a celebrity or not). It is not impossible, but it is far more

difficult.

BTW, happy new Gregorian year to all of you! Just for the record,

this new year event has no astrological significance whatsoever.

This Gregorian calendar is one of the most arbitrary calendars

designed by the civilized man. Many variations of solar and lunar

calendars are used by other civilizations, which are less arbitrary

and more based on nature. For example, Sun's move into Capricorn a

few days later is celebrated as new year in some areas and it is

more relevant astrologically.

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Narasimha
