But can you pls further explain the statement

Position of Sun and AK from AL shows natives' position

If Sun and AK are 6th from AL (and 10th from Lagna)

then what does it siginifes?

Hare Rama Krishna

Dear Parag,

Greetings.

In fact this was my first attempt at making notes and for that too I picked

a book as high as COVA which is meant more for the pundits of jyotish or

atleast for students who are fairly familiar with the basics. I would like

to

humbly state that I am a beginner level student with a long way to go.I can

attempt at your questions and perhaps Gurus will enlighten and correct us.

The basics here means that the student should be able to distingish between

well-placed planets and poorly placed ones. For example, its among the first

few paradigms of jyotish that natural benefics when placed in

kendras/trines are good and protect the native and assure well being in

life.

However, when placed in Dusthanas(6th, 8th & 12th), benefics suffer and are

in a way waisted. On the other hand, malefics when placed in Kendras/trines

cause much suffering and dificulty in life unless their effect is mitigated

by positive energies of the benefics. However, malefics when placed in 3rd,

6th 10th & 11th are good in certain ways.

The same principles apply both from Lagna and Arudha Lagna. Lagna stands for

all matters and is the essence of all that the native is and placement of

benefics and malefics from lagna will effect positively or adversely the

matters of the lagna whereas their placement from Arudha Lagna will tell

more about the status and position of the native and factors leading to its

growth or obstruction.

Thus, AK if a natural benefic will be well placed in kendras/trines etc

depending upon lordship, rashi, aspects etc and other basic factors. However,

if placed in a dusthana from the Lagna/AL and afflicted otherwise also, the

chart is marred. If AK is a malefic, its placements even in a dusthana like

the 6th could not be bad under special situations.Sun as AK being a malefic

if placed in 6th can help native gain position and status if not

afflicted. However, someof its significations will surely suffer. From Lagna,

Sun when placed in 10th will be again well placed getting directinal

strength and being in an upachaya.

May we be the true channels of sacred Jyotir Vidya,

Rajat bhatia
