Guest guest
Dear Patrice, Very good point you have raised. "Sandhi" is generally refered as junctional point. In literal parlance its mean, boundary; limit; morning or evening twilight or meeting point of two group. In astrology, this term stands for * terminating 2 minutes of a zodiacal sign; * terminating 24 seconds of a navamsha; * terminating 24 minutes of a lunar day(tithi); Amongst possible sandhi regarding signs/house, the meeting point of water and fire (i.e. termingation of watery and starting of Fiery sign's nakshatras) are considered more inauspicious as compare to others. Hope you will illuminate me more on this regard. Sorry I could not take in matter of 54 possibile Sandhi, it is half of 108 pada in 27 nakshatras? Is this even considered 'sandhi' at the junction point of two nakshatras with the negative connotations we think of with sandhi of signs/houses? Obviously there would be something like 54 possibilities with respect to nakshatras and I'm thinking that the intent with regards to the nakshatras is perhaps meant only with gandanta itself. > > Many thanks for your help. > > All kindest regards, > Patrice
Guest guest
Dear M. Imran, Thank you so much for your response. And this is great that you have included the exact minutes and seconds which give Sandhi in these three cases, sign, navamsa, and tithi. It would appear again from this description that it isn't taken with respect to nakshatras, other than in the case of Gandanta. My thinking with around 54 situations where this could occur was in thinking that in the beginning and ending of all the 27 nakshatras if this were to be considered there would be all these places 2 X 27. I like the thought here that it is also 1/2 of 108... Thanks very much for your thoughts and help here. Kindest regards, Patrice ______________ Dear Patrice,Very good point you have raised.
