Guest guest
We have to accept certain things on the Basis of the Authority of the Persons making the statements. Since our great Rishis who taught us astrology, say that 9 th is represents the Father (not 10th), we have to accept it and go forward. KP was propounded to solve this question of Twins, by dividing the Signs, into Nakstras, and further into 9 Subs. It is the SUB which fully depicts the nature of the House. In 2 minutes of birth time, this sub can change. These days further subdivision into sub-sub has been made and is being used by some KP astrologers. planck12 <planck12 > wrote: Dear Gurus and learned members, I have another doubt which my rational mind tends to ask of and conflits with during my course of learning. Guest guest
|Vyam Vyasadevaaya Namah|Dear Umeet, Daddy is seen from the 9th as he has the purpose of guiding you initially in life. Prior to him taking on this 'task' he occupied the 10th house as the creative force with your mother in the 4th house as the 2 pillars in your life (a pillar per quadrant). Hence the 4th and 10th merge to form the Lagna (Prajapati), and then only later on does the father become the guide, as his role as the giver of the seed ended immedietely after coitus, and he took on a new role as Dad.Best wishesVisti---Sri Jagannath Center: http://.orgBhagavad Purana: http://www.srimadbhagavatam.orgiTRANS 99 Font: http://www.omkarananda-ashram.org - planck12 vedic astrology Saturday, August 09, 2003 12:56 AM [vedic astrology] Doubt on Bhavas. Guest guest
dear sridharji, Umeet asked a good question though, right? I have also thought about this but did also then think about the "father is guru" aspect. interestingly, in my case, it was my mother who taught me the gayatri mantra when I was in turmoil in my teens. and yes, she had been taught it by her father, my grandfather. so is there a reason why I should not be teaching it to my children, if I have them? just curious. rani. vedic astrology, sridhar k <kopparsa> wrote: > Dear Umeet. There is no answer to your WHY . !st represents many things, besides your self. Similarly 7th represents, Partners, People with whom you do business, and Is also a Maraka House. 9th represents basically the GURU, the teachers, and The father is always regarded as the primary teacher. He is the one who initiates you into the Gayatri Mantra, etc. > We have to accept certain things on the Basis of the Authority of the Persons making the statements. Guest guest
Dear Umit Jee, Parasara suggests both 9th and 10th house for father, in "Ch. 11. Judgement of Bhavas" he does not mention father in 9th house, but mentions about father in 10th house subjects. But, when judging Bhava effetcs and Bhava lord effects in other chapters, he includes father in both 9th and 10th houses. he also advises to see for father from 9th from Sun, again mentioning about 9th house for father. Where jaimini teaches to see father from only 9th house as far as I remember. (I mean, not from 10th house.) Your logic is very good and clear, that is one of the reasons behind why I always use 10th house for father, personally. Many experienced astrologers take the 9th whereas many do the 10th. 7th house is not only spouse but also lover, and sexual matters also. (in my view.) Thus logically it shows that the native's mother has to be the spouse, or at least lover of the natives father. (In some cases they dont marry, but 7th is also lover.) If they are not even lovers, the physical pleasure/union is denoted by the 7th, which is the minimum requirment for a child to be born!
