One is normally taught to worship Krishna for children. However, there are instances in Puranas of spiritual people without children praying to Shiva for a child and getting a very spiritual child. If that is the goal, I would imagine that Jyotirlinga worship could work. In that case, I would guess that the 5th house should be taken in male charts and the 9th house in female charts. Guest guest
Dear Rajan, May I reply to your question. I am actually doing a lot of research on the Progeny recently and this is what my understanding based on my studies/readings. * If the A3 and A9 are both afflicted ( in respect to Sun's position) in a native chart, then their chances of bearing children is very low. * If one Aruda pada ( either A3 or A9 ) is afflicted then children will be delayed and if both are afflicted then they are denied. * But in this 21st centurry, it's quite possible that these factors may be over-ridden by a medical consultation. This is just my opinion and not mentioned by gurus. * I have also read in the Varga Chakra Book, that if the A3 and A9 are afflicted then the only remedy is medical intervention... no amount of mantra can help. So my suggession is look for A3, A9 and Sun's poistions and suggest accordingly to the native. Guest guest
Dear Narasimha Thank you for that explanation. Since the Lingam is a symbol of fertility(?) I guess it is appropriate to worhship Lord Shiva (with mantra, puja, abhishekam, etc..) to beget children. However I appreciate about Krishna worship for this purpose, as well as e.g. Parvati worship if the Moon is afflicted, or NUMEROUS other remedies depending on the natal chart and nature of the grahas and dashas running etc... THERE ARE A MULTITIUDE REMEDIES, giving charity/daan, etc.. , just depends on the Jyotishi, the environment and the horoscope. (e.g. in India people also hang a cradel/with doll and some 'offerings' on a tree branch within the temple.) RE: NIMMITTA As i was pondering on which "remedy" may be prescribed for these two ladies who enquired about the same problem within days of each other - I came across the Jyotirlinga postings here recently, and then took that as a NIMMITTA..., that i should follow that path and accordingly advise;, moreover the ladies names begin with a "Sh" , hence taking these and other factors together I thought SHIVA worship may be appropriate! Thank you and best regards RAJAN -- In vedic astrology, "Narasimha P.V.R.
