I hope this helps you. The first time I went there, I was 7 and I don't remember that either. The only trip I remember was when I was 22, and at that time, me and my family had 'Ekantha Seva' at midnight, then I woke up at early morning 5:00 AM, bathed at Swami Pushkarini and first worshipped Sri Varaha Murthy. Lord Venkateswara is our family Kula-devata. Guest guest
Dear Jayashree, In Tamil Nadu,Kerala and Karnataka, there are different forms of Shakti and according to me they are all Ganas or Amshas of Godess Shakti. Now Rahu in 12th indicates Nethra Dosha or eye diffects and specially left eye. Please send me your birth details so that I may be able to tell you something more. I hope this helps you. With Sri Hari Vaayu Naama Smarana, Ramadas Rao.Jayashree <jayashree_ravi (AT) msn (DOT) com> wrote: Dear Ramadasji,Though I like all gods, my mind is set on Sri Vishnu forms already. But, what I want to tell you about is that this goddess Karumari is of the form of a 'Black Snake' and was discovered in an ant-hill, and is one of the 7 form of Goddess Parvati (akin to other forms such as Goddess Kanyakumari), but all the same said to be an embodiment of all the 3 forms of Shaktis - Durga, Saraswati and Lakshmi. She also strongly signifies the nodes and her picture also carries a 5 headed snake behind her Crown on the head. My grand-mother had been a great devotee of her and this goddess has directly done a lot of good for our family, ie my mom is the only daughter (no brothers either) and my maternal grandpa had died shortly before my mom was born. So my mom grew up quite completely alone, also without much relatives, so my grandma used to worship this goddess very vigorously. Shortly after graduation from College, my mom was spending time without any direction at home, but this goddess through some spiritual mediums at her temple told my grandma that she would send one devotee of hers who would help my mom and that she would place my mom at a high position of earning 1000 Silver coins (this was close to 40 years ago). Soon later, another person who lived on the same street (his name is same as my father, Sadagopan), came to my grandma and gave an exam paper and told my mom to prepare from it for the Bank exam next morning. My mom thus prepared, wrote and got selected as Bank employee where she grew up to be close to that of an Officer in designation and retired after 32 years of continuous service. Also, this goddess predicted once that I have 'Nethra dosha', ie to me when I was 11 and gave some lemons, but I forgot all about it, and only several years later, when my eye test showed I need glasses, I remembered all about this, but atleast I wear contact lens as my glasses are quite heavy And so forth, this goddess has really predicted/done a lot of good. Why I want to say is that, I don't know the astrological implication of Rahu in 12, going by what I know so far, Rahu will give heavy expenditure in 12, but when I analyzed my past events using the Vimsottari of Moon (which may not be right, but for the sake of discussion here), I found that something good had always happened to me during Bhukti/Antar of Rahu (like marriage, especially it being a good one, child birth, clearing away of sickness, etc), so I wonder if my mother/grandma's worship to Goddess Karumari who also signifies the nodes makes Rahu periods good for me inspite of Rahu being in 12? Is there any chances for such things to happen out of astrology?Thanks,Jayashree--- In vedic astrology, Ramadas Rao <ramadasrao> wrote:> > ` nmae naray[ay> > om namo näräyaëäya> Dear Jayashree,> Now you said you worship Lord Venkateshwara and also love to worship Karumari Amma also. Now you just decide yourself by worshipping which God you are getting too much mental happiness. So by worshipping Lord Venkateshwara if you get more mental happiness, then you continue with HIS worship. Our mind controls our each and every actions. So now you decide yourself which GOD is to be worshipped as Ishta Devatha.> I hope this helps you.> With Sri Hari Vaayu Naama Smarana,> Ramadas Rao.> > Jayashree <jayashree_ravi@m...> wrote:> Dear Ramadas ji,> > Nice talking to you, I have read many of your posts with awe since > you are able to identify nature of past sins and curses. > > So far I have been to Tirupathy only thrice, the last time I went was > before 7 years, at a time I was not well, and I don't remember much > of it. Guest guest
om namo näräyaëäya Dear Jayashree, In your chart eventhough Rahu in Vrishabha Rasi in Navamsha indicate the Ishta Devatha,Surya, the Karaka for light is debilitated. So worship Lord Surya with Suryashtaka daily.Rahu in Vrishabha Navmasha indicates a female diety as your Ishta Devatha and as Rahu indicates a Tamasic Female diety, you can worship Godess Durga or Godess Mahishasura Mardhini by chanting daily Sri Mahishasura Mardhini Stotram daily. I had a talk with one of my Tamil friend here and as I said yesterday,Karumari Amman is a village diety and can not be your Ishta Devatha. Also worship Lord Shiva. I hope this helps you. Guest guest
Dear Ramadasji, Thank you once again for the clarification. I can see the importance of worshipping Goddess Durga/Mahishasura Mardhini, due to which you have taken time to explain the same. To tell you the truth, I used to do regular puja to Lord Venkateswara when very young, between 20 - 22, but then I stopped any daily worship, except for monthly Satya Narayan Puja (though simple, I've been doing it for past 9 yrs), and periodic visit to temple. Now, for the past one year or so, I'm again feeling spiritually inclined, predominantly due to some feelings of sadness, etc. from hurdles with employment. Currently I do the following: 1. Fast only with water on Poornima with pujas in the evening for deity Satya Narayan, but break the fast with the Palahar offered to Satya Narayan at night. 2. Fast on Fridays only with water, and end the fast with Maha Lakshmi puja, every week. 3. Listen to audio cassettes of Stothras to Lakshmi Narasimha since I think I need to feel more strong/courageous now and worshipping a brave form of deity as Narasimha Murthy gives this feeling. I don't do any other daily worship than the above, as I need to make the trasition to being proper with worship slow, if I try to push too much, I will give up. (I have given up this way many times in the past). Now additionally I want to add praying to Goddess Mahishasura Mardhini and Lord Shiva, along with Surya Bhagwan, but want to do it without feeling overwhelmed, so I will stick to it. I can also do a fast/puja on specific days to these deities, but praying for an 1 hour each day will likely overwhelm me, to start with. May I ask you for any suggestions with regards to a worship schedule that is not too demanding, but still is good to encompass all? Do you recommend any specific pujas for Shiva, and which form of Shiva, after reading the posts on Jyotirlinga, and knowing that my Jyotirlings is 'Tryambakeswara' for Pisces, which form of Shiva should I worship? May I ask for your kind clarification and suggestions, please? Guest guest
om namo näräyaëäya Dear Jayashree, I understand your problems. Now if you are a pure vegetarian, you can divide your prayers.Durga and Shiva worship you can do in the morning and the remaining you can do them during Abhijin Muhurta ie., during afternoon when Sun is in the middle of Zodiac or approximately between 11-45 AM and 12-15 PM.
