So You dont have a complete Adhi yoga. Mars is a functional benefic for Pisces ascendant. Jupiter and secondly Mercury (ignoring badhaka effect) can be considered partially. The reason being that all natural benefics are in same sign or in exaltation in 6, 7th and 8th from it. Even if we take of functional benefics, it might still work, depending on the horoscope. Here is one horoscope which has a fantastic adhi yoga (probably one of the the best possible Adhi yogo combinations). Ascendant and Moon are both in Saggitarius. Ascendant is vargottama. 1. Venus & Sun in 6th (Taurus). Venus is in its own rasi and not conjunct. Sun is the AK and 9th lord in both rasi and navamsa, so a functional benefic. 2. 7th has Mercuy in Mithuna, its own sign giving bhadra yoga as well. (I ignored effect of bhadhak nature of Mercury as the native has gone abroad). 3. 8th house has exalted lagna lord Jupiter in Cancer. Since jupiter and moon are in parivartana yoga aswell, the bad effects of lagna lord in 8th might get nullified. Can some one post more such good Adhi yoga combinations. A first class adhi yoga with benefics in strength in 6th, 7th and 8th is very rare to see. Adhi Yog from Candr. If benefics occupy the 8th, 6th and 7th, counted from Candr, Adhi Yog obtains. According to the strength of the participating Grahas, the native concerned will be either a king, or a minister, or an Army chief. The word used is 'saumyaih' 'saumya' means soft like soma, the moon- god. I just said from what I was taught. To verify what is right you can see which of the antardasa of the adhi yoga forming planet was good for you. Look at your moon, rahu, Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn antardasas and tell which of them was good. Look at antardasa's only as Yoga from Moon are prominent in antardasas. But note that Saturn may give Jupiter's results due to graha sambanda. Also take in consideration sambanda between Mars and Rahu and tell your results. Warm Regards S.
