Guest guest
Dear Muhammad, Since Katapayadi interpretation of Ketow is 1, it could also mean that when sign involved is Aries occupied by planet causing Argala and may tie up with "Na Kwchita", though it would be stretching it a bit too much. The interpretation might have to do with the fact that Generally for Even Rasis we count regular and for even Rasis in reverse order. So the correct interpretation should be that when Ketu is in odd Rasi count reverse and when in even Rasi count in regular manner. So in the example quoted Ketu and Jupiter will cast Argalas in mutually reverse order. Chandrashekhar. Muhammad Imran [astroimran (AT) gawab (DOT) com]Tuesday, November 25, 2003 1:24 AMTo: vedic astrologySubject: [vedic astrology] Argala & Ketu exception Respected Members, Apart from drishti, Argala is generally observed to judge influence of intervention, among grahas and between grahas and bhavas. When findings Argala, an exception is considered on account of Ketu placement. That is, if a sign contains Ketu, agrala and virodh-argala on it are counted anti-zodiacally. I have a confusion regarding them, when we take argala for houses and when we take for planets. As an example I take the chart of Jawaharlal Nehru, [Cn lagna; Sa in Le; Ma in Vi; Ve & Me in Li; Su in Sc; Ke & Ju in Sg; Ra in Ge]. Since Ketu is in 6th, we take argala from Sg anti-zodiacally as: 2nd, 4th and 11th Argala for 6th (Sg): Sc, Vi and Aq. (with planets in it). 2nd, 4th and 11th Argala for Ketu(Sg): Sc, Vi and Aq (with planets in it) 2nd, 4th and 11th Argala for Jupiter(Sg): Cp, Pi and Li OR Sc, Vi and Aq ? Now the question is What should be the argala places for Jupiter in above case, whether Cp, Pi and Li OR Sc, Vi and Aq ? Hope learned members clearify the doubts I have. Guest guest
Dear Chandrashekhar, Thanks alot, but your clearification further rises some question in my mind. 1) Your reply pretends, If Ketu is in an even sign then for argala count regular, and if Ketu is in an odd sign then count reverse. Yes/No ? 2) Whether Argala can be obtained for planets as we do for 12 houses? If so then any planet with Ketu in the same sign, has argala like Ketu. Yes/No ? Narasimharao in his book holds, exercise#16 (about chart5) chap#10. Ketu is into Aq in 4th house. Argala on Aq are given in reverse order as: 2nd => Ve(Cp) 4th => Ma & Sa (Sc) 5th => empty (Li) 11th=> Mo(Ar) There is no illustration about the situation I have in form of above query(2). Guest guest
Dear Muhammad, Yes to your first question. About the second, the confusion is as in the example cited by you the Argalas on house occupied by Ketu are indicated. We are referring to Argala cast by Ketu on account of his occupation of Odd or Even sign. There is a distinction between the two. Hope this helps. Chandrashekhar.
