Dear Jyotisha,

I forgot to mention one

thing.

The excel file has VBA

coding and only can be opened if the security settings of MS Excel is set at

least to Medium. If some machine the excel file is not working, try the

following settings. Go to Tools-> Options-> Security Tab->Macro

Security.

I received some mails

that the the excel file could not be opened, hence I am uploading it into the

files section of Vedic-Astrology and SriJagannath list. It has already been

uploaded to varahamihira group.

Best Wishes

|| Jaya Jagannath ||

Dear Jyotisha,

I am attaching an excel

file for calculation of planetary positions and the divisional charts. This is

a advance calculator, which can make composite divisional charts. The function

for finding the composite division is “divplanetlongitude()”. The

parameters to be supplied for this function is Degree of a planet in the Rasi

Chart, the division chart no. and the variation in the divisional chart.

The Divisional chart no.

and their variations are listed below:

"Rasi"

N(2, 1) =

"Hora (1/7 House)"

particular divisional chart in conjunction with the Rasi Chart. This sheet

shows Big view of two divisional charts. By default, I have put Rasi and

Navamsa Chart. You can chose your own divisional chatrs, you need to just put

the parameters on the cells marked yellow on the top of the divisional charts.

The Kashinath Hora chart is programmed. Use the parameters 2, 5 for Division

and Var respectively to get the chart. Sheet4: “All Divisional Charts”: This

displays all the divisional charts which has been programmed so far. You can

see most of the variations of different divisional charts. Please let me know

if you want something else to be included.

Other consideration:

To make the excelsheet working, please place the .dll file included in the zip

file I am sending, in the /windows/systems directory You can use the degrees of

the planets in the divisional charts, judiciously. Even though no shastras have

spoken anything on this so far. I “personally” think that they can be used in

various ways such as finding the exact planetary conjunctions, aspects etc.

This is open to research. Look in Sheet “Division” for the degrees of planets

in the divisional charts. You find the placement of any body in the zodiac in

the divisional charts. What you need to do is just put the longitude of the

planet in the the sheet “Division” in the column F. There are numerous

functions available in the sheet, which can be used in research, but yet to be

documented. I will send an update whenever I do that. This excel file is in

public domain. Anyone can enhance it, however, please let me know incase you

are making any modifications or enhancement. Currently the excel file doesnot

show retrogression etc. which shall be programmed and released later.

Please let me know your feedback.

Best Wishes

Dear Ramadas,

You need not put any planetary longitudes, you only need to put the

Date, Time, Longitude and Latitude. The excel sheet shall calculate

everything on its own.

You need to however, enable macro written for it. In most of the

windows O/S it asks whether you would like to enable the macro, when

the security is set to medium.

Sarajit

Hare Rama Krishna

Namaste Sarajit Ji,

I have set my security to medium and enabled the macros.

But when I tried to change the birth date immediately, I

see "#VALUE!" all over the spread-sheet and I am not able

to enter my own birth details to get the different charts.

Can you and some one please help me to understand what and

how to run this macro to work for any given birth details.

Thanks for your help in adavance.

Regards

Raghunadha Rao

~ Om Namah Shivaya ~

Dear Rao Nemani,

Just increase the width of that column, in which you

are getting #VALUE!. You can either do it by dragging

the column on the top, or double click exactly between

the two columns. Say column B and C are there. it

would be written like A | B. So double click precisely

at the vertical dividing line. The all values will be

displayed.

Hope, it helps you.

Regards,

This is a advance calculator, which can make composite divisional charts. The

function for finding the composite division is “divplanetlongitude()”. The

parameters to be supplied for this function is Degree of a planet in the Rasi

Chart, the division chart no. and the variation in the divisional chart.> > >

Dear Anna,

I am all there for

Jyotish, however, in my current project my responsibility has increased

manifold. That is why I am uable to give much time for Jyotish. This software

opens up multitude of functionality and scope of Jyotish. Something like I

always thought of working with multiple composite charts and divisional

degrees, however, couldnot do it because of unavaibility of any such software.

While I was pondering on

what to do, I thought of a nice idea… I taught myself Visual Basic for

excel and started working. In a weeks time, this is

what I achieved. In the next version, I will prepare some documentation of all

the functionalities and shall incorporate the feedback from the list members.

The way this program

differs from others is that it can easily be enhanced without hassle as there

is no trouble in code modification, which happens with all the available

software. So the moment, I learn of newer things, I can incorporate it

straightaway. It will take some time before I can make use of the

functionalities available and write more on this.

Best Wishes

Sarajit

Dear Sarajit,

Congratulations-

This piece of art keeps me in awake still. Thank you for this,

real-smart-hard-work. How could I forget that Jyotish is in your blood and

that Sc Moon, 'secretive stubborn determined'!?

To be honest this is too advanced

/for me, only me?/, I need a quick 'literacy' course, for adult students, there

are more options here than my last fashion PL software offers. Unless

you want to see me starving amid plenty!

Rectification up to sixth

level still waits for me, so please tell me how your schedule looks like this

month.

Thanks for this

good, growth-enhancing tool, dear Sarajit!

Yours,

Rice

Dear Jyotisha,

I forgot to

mention one thing.

The excel file

has VBA coding and only can be opened if the security settings of MS Excel is

set at least to Medium. If some machine the excel file is not working, try the

following settings. Go to Tools-> Options-> Security Tab->Macro

Security.

I received

some mails that the the excel file could not be opened, hence I am uploading it

into the files section of Vedic-Astrology and SriJagannath list. It has already

been uploaded to varahamihira group.

Dear Rao,

Sometimes excel doesnot recognise a date as a date. If it is written in

correct formal then only it recognises it. Just check out, probably you

have used a incorrect formal of writing the date. Try writing the date

in a format like 25 August 1974, and the system shall identify it.

Hope it would work well now.

Hare Rama Krishna

I also had problems, getting #VALUE. I found that in my case when the

'swedll32.dll' was extracted by Winzip into c:\Windows\system folder it

had instead created a subfolder - 'jyotish calc' - under windows\system

and put the '.dll' there. After moving 'swedll32.dll' out of the

subfolder and into windows\system it ran perfectly. This may work for

you.

Dear Neeraj Gupta,

Thanks for the mail.I have tried as you

said but of no use. There are no values. Please see any other method to

solve this problem.I have made Macros enabled.

Dear Rao Nemani,

Just increase the width of that column, in which you

are getting #VALUE!. You can either do it by dragging

the column on the top, or double click exactly between

the two columns. Say column B and C are there. it

would be written like A | B. So double click precisely

at the vertical dividing line. The all values will be

displayed.

Hope, it helps you.

Neeraj Gupta

Dear Robben,

That was a good idea for all the systems where Windows/Excel/word etc. goes

looking for DLL's in \Windows\system as default.

I mentioned 'Excel parameters' in my last mail, but you specified it ever further. Well done.
