Your 'casual' comment tackled an issue I've been thinking about recently- Ul

gives info on spouse, children, siblings- I would appreciate if you would

comment on this a little further- some opine that ULagna tells about siblings,

second from UL about spouse, fifth about children.

In general, my understanding is that UL stands for all 'non-self' significant others-

therefore when we have a case that AL/self/ and UL/non-self/ are conjunct,

conclussion is that the native is giving-self+non-self=unselfish.

However, it's not quite clear to me how/if non-spousal relationships are

affected by challenging position of two lagnas-AL and UL- Would you please

comment on this?/I realize that you may be tired of so many many recent

writings, please respond when you get a chance/

Instead of commenting on your queries, I would casually mention that Jaimini

System is the only system in which the signs have mutual aspects and the

aspects of 8th- 6th-7th sign are called the preferential aspects for M-F-C

signs. Refer sutras, abhipashyanti...., Parshbhe.... and Tannishthasch....

The point which I want to make is that the signs in 8th-6th-7th to M-F-C signs

(and the planets therein) get mutually connected and such aspects are the

important aspects. Thus the relevance of dusthanas get surfaced better when

seen through the eyes of Jaimini astrology.

Hence, not only that you have to notice a planet in dusthanas, you have to note

where it links and so on..

Further, the Upapada is the key point used to decipher about the spouse, her

longevity and character, native's character, native's looks, native's children

and co-borns. Since, the spouse and the children are the offshoot of the

marriage, this key point is actively used to delineate the mariage timing in

addition to the other parameters.

Dear Vijay...........I am referring to both Parasara and Jaimini philosophies.

Since, I use the JHORA software, it gives all the arudha padas and I do not

calculate seperately as I take the software for granted. I am not very clear on

the badhakesh concept. But I can clearly see that the UL, AL and A7 are in

dusthanas from each other with the AL and A7 in mutually badhak places. UL in a

dusthana from AL does not speak well of the relationship between the native and

the spouse. But, since there are two first rate benefics in the UL, this might

be alleviated. Also, the UL is being aspected by a strong moon and other

planets. This is another good sign. As there are too many influences on the UL

I was confused to find the strongest influence on it. Since, I am a novice in

astrology, I did not know how to interpret this and seeked help on this. Thanks

Dear Ms. Anna,

My writing for a few days of joining this group always assumes that the reader

is well aware of the subject, that is the reason why I do not mention

everything in detail. I have come across many good enquiries in these few days

and Your's is one of them. To be brief in writing, I always mention the point

without mentioning many details on it, as I assume that most of it is already

known by the readers.

12H is the house of Non-self and its arudha (UL) definitely gives the

indications on the sprituality of a native. Let me quote that the 12H is 4th

from 9H meaning that it indicates the possesions of religious traits.

Similarly, 12H is also the 9H from 4H meaning it to indicate the religious

traits of our moral possessions. 12H is thus very powerful to decide the status

of Non-Self of the native.

The UL is key point wherefrom various houses have to be seen to delineate the

spouse, children etc. I did not feel the need to mention this. Good that you

clarified to the readers. Thanks.

Your interpretation of unselfish is acceptable.

5H is the house of pleasures (including extra-maritals) and when it has the

connection from 8H (Sex organs) and 12H (privacy), it should form the

combination for non-spousal connections. It would be worth mentioning when 5H

has a strong connection with the 7H, the love affairs materialise to

love-marriages. You may draw some conclusions by this assertion.

One personal question :

Which part of the country or globe you hail from ? You seem to be very humble in

putting your view point which is appreciable. I am curious to know a little

about your biodata.

Thanks and Regards,

Dear Mr. Kumar,

Thank you for your elaborate response. UL /and AL/ seems to be always attractive food for thoughts.

I understand what you mean by assuming that all listers are well versed in the

subject, which, in fact is hardly ever the case- on the List with so many

members, with various leve; of knowledge, and beginners are welcome, it's good

if we strive to make our posts clear to majority. That's perhaps how we all

learn. Thank you for clarifications which contribute to common knowledge.

And thank you very much for a compliment- not sure I deserve it, LOL!

I am not used to thinking about myself as a humble-being, for good reasons, beleive me..

One cannot be too humble, I would say, but I am too far from that goal- hope not

arrogant, either.. I write this from Canada- Jyotish has become an international

science of Light, obviously.

It was pleasure reading your posts, and I hope you'll enjoy the List too.

Warmest wishes,
