Let me attempt to answer your question.

 

See, we have 9 planets and 9 gemstones for each. That is

why we call the primary gemstones as NavaRatnas, here Nava

is 9 and Ratna is gemstone. Any thing other than NavaRatna

is called UpaRatna or in other words a substitute.

 

I would request Guru Ji and Chandrashekhar ji to correct me

if I am wrong.

impression that it is superior. )

gem stones and they bestow ver poitive results when worn with great care and

after Pooja etc.Also they are very expensive.But Uparatnas are not that mush

expnsive and they give results in a slow manner than the original gem

stones.They are cheapt to buy.

Now Topaz is a Uparatna for Guru.If a person can not afford to buy Pushya Raga

stone,then he can buy this stone and use for the same purpose.But some

qualities of original stone may not be there with this.

I have yogakaraka as Venus for which can i wear diamond? since diamonmd is

pretty costly what are the upratnas for diamond, please suggest,

Navamsha he is placed ? Is he afflicted etc. are also to be counted.then only
