conference.

You will be glad to learn that an All India Conference on

Sanskrit, Jyothish, Vaidya, Mantra, Thanthra, Pooja and Vaasthu is

being organized under the auspices of the Jyothisha Prachaara Sabha

at Thiruvananthapuram on the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th of April 2004.

We cordially invite you to participate in the said conference and

request you to be kind enough to make it convenient also to address

the conference during the above days according to your choice and

convenience. Any subject related with the above subjects can be

chosen.

 

If it is found inconvenient for you due to unavoidable

reasons to participate, we request you to depute some personalities

on your behalf from your Institution, Department, Organization as

your representative to address the conference.

 

We are sure that being a patron and promoter of Indology; you

will grace the conference with your presence.

 

Due to shortage of funds, we regret our inability to meet

your traveling expenses, but we shall provide good accommodation and

boarding during the stay at Thiruvananthapuram on the days of

conference.

 

We also request you to send your valuable suggestions for the

successful conduct of the conference. We also request you to send the

acceptance along with your Bio-data at the earliest so that the

program could be printed with your name and distributed in time.

 

A few words about the Jyothisha Prachaara Sabha (Regd.)

Jyothisha Prachaara Sabha is a registered society established

and working with the sole aim of reviving, preserving, propagating,

developing and enriching the subject of Vedic astrology and

interrelated subject like Mantra, Vaidya, Thanthra and Vaasthu.

Since its inception in the year 1984, the Jyothisha Prachaara

Sabha has been organizing classes, seminars, conferences and

examinations in Vedic Astrology, Gemology, Vaashtu sasthra, Palmistry

and Manthra sasthra

 

Achievements

In Thiruvananthapuram alone, about 1000 intellectuals have

learnt the basics of Astrology from these classes; about 300

candidates have passed Jyothisha bhooshanam Examination conducted by

it. About 500 out-State students have undergone the correspondence

course conducted by the Sabha. To remedy the dearth of readable

books, the President of the Sabha Prof. N.E. Muthuswamy has written

and published about 70 books on Astrology alone and about 70,000

people have got basic and advanced knowledge of Astrology through

these books. Further to assist the learners with correct

pronunciation, accent and intonation of the Sanskrit classical

astrology texts, the classical texts like Prasnamaarga (10 cassetes),

Jaathakapaarijaatha (8nos), Saaravali (7 nos.), Varaha horas,

Jaathakaadesam Phaladeepikas, Krishneeyam have been rendered in

Audiocassettes. Recently at Kottayam a branch of the Jyothisha

Prachaara Sabha was established and classes in Jyothish, Palmistry

and Vaasthu are being conducted there in full swing.

 

For the propagation of Astrology, the Jyothisha Prachaara

Sabha has till now organized about 40 astrological conference in

which many All India personalities like Late Dr. B. V. Raman of

Bangalore, Smt. Rajeswari Raman, Late Sri. P.S.Iyer and distinguished

members of ICAS etc had participated.

 

The Sabha has been celebrating the year 2003 as THE YEAR OF

ASTROLOGY and in this connection it has organized conference at

Thiruvananthapuram and in different parts of Kerala like Varkala,

Venganaaramoodu, Kottiyam, Parippally, Kottayam etc. Arrangements are

in the offing to start more branches in Attingal, Quilon, Kattakada

etc.

 

The proposed Maha-Sangamam is the culmination of the

celebrations of the year of Astrology and this will be a Maha-

Sangamam (Conference) of scholars, lovers, learners and practitioners

in the subjects of Sanskrit, Astrology, Ayurveda, mantra, Pooja and

Vaasthu which are inter-related subjects and which uniformly suffer

neglect and humiliation at the hands of the Public Administrations.

 

This conference is intended to provide a Forum for the lovers

of Indological wisdom to discuss about ways and means to regain the

lost glory of the above Indological subjects.
