Guest guest
Dear Chandrashekhar, Thank you for your prompt reply- and explanation. I understand your standing much better now- I believe that it is desirable for one to be exposed and properly informed about various approaches, have them stored somewhere in memory, before finally/?/ deciding. I also understand what you mean by 'feeling comfortable with'- yes, I've experienced that already- perhaps that depends on personal 'traits', I for example, love when that metaphorical- 'condensed wisdom' I'd would say, of Jyotish is present in Jy. approach- that in fact made me so mesmerized /'addicted', ha, ha/ by Jyotish! "I go beyond Nakshatra to Nakshatra pada and their Lords"- is in fact paying in-depth attention to Naksatras, and that too seems very important. You were explicit in your message, and I thank you for that, again. Warmest wishes, Anna Chandrashekhar <boxdel (AT) (DOT) co.uk> wrote: Dear Anna,You are right, I use the more stricter approach, than generally followed, to the principles of astrology. I also take into consideration opinions of various acharyas of astrology and do not restrict it to "one system".Regarding your query,I follow Vimshottary system of Dashas on the authority of Parashara himself, he indicated that in his opinion it should be followed and not the Ashtottary system.I do not follow the Rasi dasha system as I do not find myself comfortable with it.I, use the 8 Charakarakas with replacement of Rahu when two get same karakatwas. Though I do not use them much for predictions. I use them for finding out the Ishta devataI use Navamsha Varga to assess the strength of the Planets.I do not consider aspects in Vargas. House occupation of navamshesh and houses occupied by planets give me a fair idea of their strength.I have given my opinion on Badhaka many times. I do not consider only being lord of a particular house confers badhaka status on a planet. I think association with Kharesha is vital in attaining badhaka status. Yogakaraka therefore would prevail.Yoga formation as an empirical formula, I rarely use. For understanding results of a yoga natural karakatwas would have to be factored in no doubt.Since I use navamsha, I go beyond Nakshatra to Nakshatra pada and their Lords. As to my insistence of mastering one system before trying different systems simultaneously, I have already given the reasons. You will see many predictions being justified by use of different systems without indicating why only this system is followed in one case and another in a different case. I think that it is better to carry out both the operation and the post mortem using same tools. But every astrologer has his own logic and that is perfectly acceptable to me.Chandrashekhar.108ar wrote:> Dear Chandrashekar,> > I've always appreciated your posts, although not always sure about my > understanding of your messages.> I've been mulling over what you've written recently, and in fact I've > been trying to understand your approach for quite sometime- since long > time ago, I've noticed that you are applying principles > differently-more strictly, so to speak- for quite awhile while I was > at the beginning of studying 'integrative approach' I liked what you > wrote because it was close to my 'thinking process' at that time. > Later I've been trying to muster all different methods and techniques > and am still> doing that, and was less focused on differences..> I would like to get a clearer picture of what you apply in your work. > I have some specific questions, I would like to see your response to > /not all, just major ones, 'don't be afraid!/> 1/ It does make sense to me what you said that one should go with one > dasa system /to be better able to perfect it, to see clearly from > which angle the possible prediction failure came from, when that > happens- please correct me if my understanding is wrong, I am > rephrasing your words based on my understanding-> a/you use Vimsottari> b/do you use rashi dasa and when?> c/your suggestion seems to be to stick to Vims.
