Guest guest
||Om Brihaspataye Namah||Namaskarams Shri Ramanarayanan,I would be grateful if you could explain this graha arudha concept further. For the example you have cited (Aries lagna with Ra placed in 1st), would not the graha arudha of Ra represent the friends and being placed in the 9th house, give much fortune/luck from friends? Would not such a person be tremendously popular (if Ra as the 11th co-lord is strong)? What is the effect on this if grahaarudha of Ke also falls in Sagittarius, being the co-lord of 8th house as well? If you could expound more on this taking practical examples (as Narasimha did earlier citing Mercury as the 9th & 12th lord from the graha arudha of 7th lord in navamsa; his wife left her native country to join him within a few weeks of he starting Mercury Vimsottari mahadasha), then that would be great.regardsHarivedic astrology, rama narayanan wrote:> SARVAM GYANANANDAMAYAM JAGAT> AUM GURUBYO NAMAH> > Dear Mukund,> > Rahu's exaltation house is Mithuna so far as phalitha jyotish vidya is concerned. If Aries is the lagna and Rahu is found placed there, the graha arudha of Rahu falls in the 9th house viz., Dhanur thereby Rahu is able to establish the links between 1st house and bhagya bhava and express his intentions of going after fortune. > > Jyotish vidya talks about kaala as well as "Mahakala". The 7th lord shows the consciousness (application of intelligence) related to the interactions. The 7th lord shows the intangible/unrisen/internal consciousness, while his arudha shows the tangible/risen/externally manifest consciousness. The former shows my attitude and approach towards interactions. The latter shows my wife, who is an externally manifested/risen consciousness. Both play an active role in my interactions. My wife not only travelled abroad for the first time, nine days after my Mercury dasa started, but she's been living away from India for the entire Mercury dasa. No wonder, because Mercury is the 9th and 12th lord in 7th from my A7L in navamsa (A7L is the arudha of 7th lord). If you just take the 7th (Sc) as lagna, you'll be hard-pressed to explain this. I'll give another example. Consider a lady with the chart: 12th September 1971, 8:25 am (IST), Guntur, India. Look at her D-12. In D-12, the 9th house is Ge. The 9th lord is Mercury in Li. A9L is in Aq. From Aq, the 10th lord Rahu is in Leo with Rahu. Her father is an electrical engineer. Until her Jupiter dasa, her father never travelled abroad. In her Jupiter dasa, her father went abroad twice - once in Mercury antardasa (AD), Saturn pratyantardasa (PD) and again in Venus AD and Mercury PD. >From Aq, dasa lord Jupiter is in 12th and facilitates foreign travel. Venus is the 9th lord and Saturn and Mercury occupy 9th. In the navamsa of the same lady, Aries is the 7th hjouse and 7th lord Mars is in Ge. So A7L is in Aq. From Aq, 10th lord is Mars and he joins Rahu and a strong Mercury in Ge. Her husband is an electronics (Mars and Rahu) related software engineer (Mercury and Ge). Ever since her Jupiter dasa started in 1993, her husband has been seriously into astrology. From Aq, Jupiter is the 2nd and 11th lord. May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha
Guest guest
||Om Brihaspataye Namah|| Namaste Narasimha, Thanks for the clear explanation on graha arudhas with the help of examples. Taking the principle that graha arudhas show the external manifestation of the specific house lord matter, you have shown how how to analyse the events pertaining to that graha arudha. But there is another part to this: namely how to analyse the placement of graha arudha with respect to the lagna of the chart under consideration. Take your case again, lagna in D-9 is Ta and 7th house is shown by Sc. A7L falls in Li, whose lord is Venus and which is the 6th house. So what does this mean? Either your spouse has Libra ascendant (in D- 9?) or Venusian qualities? Or does 6 house (of service) show a very devoted and service-oriented (with respect to marriage) spouse? Yesterday night I was reading Sanjays book on Narayana Dasha where he explained the use of graha arudhas in deciphering the influence of Mahatma Gandhi and Subhas Chandra Bose on Jawaharlal Nehru where he says the trick is to study the graha arudha placement with reference to lagna of the chart. So when I saw PS Ramanarayanan's email, I got confused how to analyse the graha arudha of Rahu for Ar lagna with Ra in Ar. More the so since graha arudha of Ke also falls in Sg! One last question: can naisargika characteristics of the graha arudha under examination be used as well? regards Hari vedic astrology, "Narasimha P.V.R. Dear Narasimha, What would be result if in Navamsa chakra A7L and A7 have 1-7 house relationship ( A7L in Pi, and A7 in Vi) ? Also A9L and A4L ( Ta / Sc) ... from Dvadashamsha ? Should one read chart from A7L as chart of wife - yogas, position of planets etc ??? Thanks, Denis1008
Guest guest
AUM GURUBYO NAMAH Dear Hari, Namaste. The principle of mirroring is beautifully explained in Jyotish vidya through the bhavat bhavam concept. If you stand before the mirror, then your left arm appears to be the right arm in the mirrror. Take up the kaala purusha jataka. Ketu is the lord of vrischika(co-owner). Going by the bhavat bhavam concept we understand the mirroring takes place in the 3rd of kaala purusha. We find Rahu there in exalted mood. Now let us take the 11th house of kaala purusha. We find Rahu as the lord (co-owner) of kumbha. Now let us look for Rahu through the mirror/bhavat-bhavam conept. We find ketu in exalted mood in Dhanur(11th from 11th is 9th from lagna). If we want a poorna(complete) manifestation of Rahu then it goes without saying that ketu should also join Rahu. The serpent might have been cut into two. But when it comes to the question of a new manifestation from the serpent then contribution come forth from Rahu and ketu. Whether it is the Amritha kalasa(kumbha) or it is the Alaala the poison(scorpio) the serpent is in full shape. Let us take an example. Let us look up the chart of Shri.Sanjay Rath. Look up to his 9th house. Ketu is the lord. Ketu's graha arudha falls in the 8th house Libra. As seen above for the new manifestation from the serpent we can expect contributions from Rahu also. Rahu is the lord of 12th here and is found placed in the 4th from Lagna. In Libra we find the confluence of the graha arudhas of Ketu and Rahu. We have understood that this gives hints and clues relating to the father of Pandit Sanjay Rath. We find a reference in page 155 in COVA that his father left his government job in the year 1969 and joined private sector. Let us look up to the vimsottari dasa. During the dasa of Jupiter(functional malefic for Libra lagna) in the Antar dasa of Buda(lord of 9th with reference to Libra, posited in the maraka to 10th and in a badhaka kshetra) and in the Rahu pratyantar dasa(rahu is posited in the marana karaka sthana with reference to Libra lagna and is opposing[papargala] the Moon the lord of 10th with reference to libra lagna which(moon) is placed in 8th from 10th) the change had taken place. Guest guest
Namaste Shri Ramanarayanan, Crystal-clear explanation. Thanks. Am taking the liberty of copying this mail to the group. Guest guest
Namaste Sri Ramanarayanan, The 9th house can show father, guru and several others. To get more specific, please go to the concerned divisional chart. Please check D-12, the chart that throws light on parents. The 9th is Ar, 9th lord is Mars in Aq and A9L is in Ge. This shows father, from the point of view of the application of intelligence (i.e. attitude). There you can see that Jupiter and Mercury are together in the 8th house of changes. The 8th house can show end of service too. Jupiter is the 7th lord and joins Mercury. The 7th house shows business and Mercury is the karaka for business. May Jupiter's light shine on us,Narasimha > Let us take an example. Let us look up the chart of Shri.Sanjay > Rath. Look up to his 9th house. Ketu is the lord. Guest guest
AUM GURUBYO NAMAH Dear Narasimha, Namaste. i am happy to receive a response from you. Yes D-12 is the one to be consulted for parents. Hari wanted an example for looking at the combined effect of graha arudhas for Rahu & Ketu. It is quite true that many significations can emanate from 9th house in rasi chart. i just wanted to explain the concept of graha arudhas with respect to nodes. You had already explained the concept of graha arudhas through the vargas with examples in a nice manner. By the way let us look at your vimsamsa chart. Lord of 9th is Sani and Sani's graha arudha falls in Dhanur where Mantra pada is posited. It gives a hint that mantra is the key to unlock the doors of the garba griha of the deity. Buda is placed in the 7th to Dhanur giving a hint about the desire/ruchi to learn Jyotish vidya with a firm beilief that jyotisha is a marga to lead one to the lotus feet of the lord. Shodasottari is applicable in your chart. As soon as Sani dasa began i feel that you were brought to the abode of Godess lakshmi. How is this possible? Let us look at the entry chart at the time of Sani dasa. In vimsamsa we find the graha arudha of lord of 9 placed in Sree Lagna and Sree lagna is the abode of Lakshmi. During the lagna patyayini dasa(lagna has venus and lagna lord and incidentally venus is the lord of sree lagna) between March 1993 to Sep. 1995 floodgates had opened. Let me stop here. i do not want bore you with what you already know and utilise the precious space of others. Best wishes. Astrologically yours, psramanrayananNRI’s, Free Money transfer to India.
