Guest guest
Dear learned members and Guru jees, Namaste. In VRA page # 46 I was reading about the deities of planets as per Jaimini's views. [Table 2-21.] For example, Goddes Durga for Rahu, Lord Shiva for Sun etc. I know some widely used mantras of them, but, there are deities mentioned that I do not know any mantra of. Such as - 1. Moon [Gauri] 2. Mars [skanda] 3. Jupiter [sambasiva] Also in page 22, table 2-2 the views of Parasara is Sun=Agni, Moon=Jala, Jupiter=Indra etc. Can anyone tell me some short mantras of these deities or some website that provides the same?Any help and suggestions will be appreciated. Regards Tanvir What can not happen, can never happen.Which is mine, is forever mine. Guest guest
Happy Birthday Tanvir, You have mentioned about some deities and their mantras. There are some panchabhoodha deities and mantras are avilable in the Vedic literature. For a quite long time it looks their mantras were chanted by the people in order to get some wishes from them. Indra: Indra is worshipped by many people for ages, he is worshipped to get the Iswarya and comforts in the life throughout. The short mantra of his as fellows: Iravadha Jagaroodham Swarnavarnam Greedininam Sahasra nayanam sakram vajrabhaneem vibhavayeth AGNI: Agni is worshipped by our ancestors in order to get good health and to get fine life path.It is quite usual that the marriages are performed in front of him and he is considered as the witness for the marriage in Hindu tradition. Saptharsivam sapiranam ashasamalam kamandalum Jwaala malaakulam raktham Sakthihastham Sahasanam. YamamaharaJ: This dharmaraj is rarely worshipped but when he is worshipped he stops our hurdles which come in our way of life, he is helpful to the people who follow the Dharma in genreal. Mantra for him is as follows: Grithantham Maheesarudham Dhandahustam Bayanagam KalaBasatharam Krishnam Dyayeth thatshinatikpatheem. Varuna dev : He is worshipped in order to get rain, but he is good for us too and give the love and affectionate behaviour and thereby we can have a happy life. Mantra : NagaPaasadharam Hrustam Rakthothyuthi vigraham SaShanga thavalam Dyayeth varunam maharaasanam Vayu Dev: He is worshipped in order to get a long life. Aaapeetham harithachchaaym vilolatvaja Thaareenam Praanabhoothamsa Bhoothanaam harinastham shameeranam. Tanvir enjoy a happy life and best of Luck for ever. Yours sincerely A. Ramani.
