Om Gurave NamahDear Sanjay,

This indeed would be a very blessed and a fortunate experience and I am sure I

speak for many of us that we would love it.How ever, I as a mother would

request that you hold this during school holidays as I dont think its fair for

me to study at the loss of my childs education.Any other efforts which I can

make to help contribute to this, just mention and I would love to be of any

help.

Regards,

Kanupriya.

Om Hoom Ram Chaitanyayai Namah !

Dear Sanjay Ji,

That is excellent idea!!!!

The main questions are: how much it will cost overall and how long it will

take? If I have time and money enough, I'll ask permission to join your

direct classes! Thanks a lot for that!

Will you have that in the next summer?

Sincerely yours,

Youry

|Vyam Vyasadevaaya Namah|Dear Guruji, Namaste.

Sarajit has given his thoughts - It is i who have kept quiet.

This opportunity is what i've been waiting for in a looong time. Direct teaching

in this form is an excellent idea - offcourse how can it not be?

there are only 8 adhyayas in the Jaimini Sutram, however there are said to be

108 in Parasara's Hora Shastra - yet some small and some big, hence possibly

can be covered in 12 parts at maximum... Its a big feat to begin on.

Only 2 things need to be planned carefully;

1. Planning of how much shall be tought and when. Also will it all be taught in

one go, or will it be a repeated the next year?

2. When does this happen.

Other than that, i'm looking forward to breathing some fresh air and eat some

respected Sanjayji,

This is really a life time opportunity. but attending a gurukul in kerala -

every month, seems to be a distant dream for many of us. Can it be covered at

one go?

Else, can I suggest that proposed Mumbai Annual conference in late 2004 or

Jan'2005 (though it is too early to plan, i know) - may be held only on JMUS or

BPHS? We may try to find out some gurukul type of resort nearby - if you wish.

It is just a suggestion from we-mumbai group.

Are people interested in learning the Jaimini Sutras from me - One adhyaya per

month - direct contact in a guru-sisya method. I have been thinking about this

ever since Narasimha wrote that the basics are not strong. Or would you like to

learn the Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra. We can cover this at a faster pace. The

system is different. We will take one chapter and then go through each of the

sutras in it, understanding each word, implications, references, and usage.

This will be done in the morning. Then in the afternoon, you can do self study

of the chapter based on the methodology. and then again in the evening after 4

PM, we shall have another 2 hour meeting where we discuss the doubts till

the evening. In this manner each chapter will become a part of you. My friend

Mr.Krishnan Nambiar has a fine resort/gurukul atmosphere. Take a look at this

http://www.vedantaretreat.com www.vedantaretreat.com I like this place and

will be there next year anyway. I am thinking of starting these direct contact

classes in India from next year. Any inputs/ideas are welcome. My method of

teaching is very different from what you would have heard or seen. At

confereces I only ape the general trend but then my own thinking does come.

However these classes are very different. Rohini, Shiv, Sarbani, Gaurav, Goelji

and others from Delhi who have attended will know. The basics will be very

strong. I want to time this when most of you can get some leave. Another thing

- do not worry about advanced or beginner..most who come know little and in a

year or two they can teach Jyotish!

Yes, that is the blessing of my Guru Pt.Kasinath Rath. kashikshetra tannivaso

jahnavi charanodakkam gurur-visvesvaro sakshat taarakam brahma nischitam. Yours

Dear Pradeep we are having conferences and also those who learn can go ahead and

teach the same thing in their home land. I hope they also teach it the way I

will teach so that they can absorb it.~ om tat sat ~Yours truly,Sanjay

|Vyam Vyasadevaaya Namah|Dear Guruji, Namaste.

Sarajit has given his thoughts - It is i who have kept quiet.

This opportunity is what i've been waiting for in a looong time. Direct teaching

in this form is an excellent idea - offcourse how can it not be?

there are only 8 adhyayas in the Jaimini Sutram, however there are said to be

108 in Parasara's Hora Shastra - yet some small and some big, hence possibly

can be covered in 12 parts at maximum... Its a big feat to begin on.

Only 2 things need to be planned carefully;

1. Planning of how much shall be tought and when. Also will it all be taught in

one go, or will it be a repeated the next year?

2. When does this happen.

Other than that, i'm looking forward to breathing some fresh air and eat some

Jyotish for breakfast. :D
