Guest guest
Dear Partha Ji Thanks for the mail and info about Rahu and Ketu. I have one more question. You have mentioned in one of your previous mails about true happiness to be the cause of moksha and the three realted houses. True Happiness shows no desire. And every act is an experience and learning. Can this learning be achieved without really experiencing it.I will quote an example. If an individual is eating meat and has worldly pleasures does that mean the soul has not attained total happiness related to these matters in the past. And in the reverse case can we say the individual has experienced these pleasures in the past life and has no more desire left. Thus my question is, is it possible to have no desire without really experiencing? Guest guest
Dear Pradeep There are different schools, one is that of renunciation and the other is enjoyment and experience. There is a third school-understanding. Neither by giving up, nor by fulfilling the desire can we overcome the desire. We need to understand the entire process of desire and thought. WHen we start meditation, instead of chanting mantras etc. Just watch your breath, the thoughts, and understand why you get those thoughts. Most of the times we try to interpret dreams!, but we cannot interpret our own thoughts. Try to understand them. I do beleive that experiencing atleast once!! would make the understanding better. I cannot understand meat eating, if i have never eaten it. This life i havenot touched even a atom of meat, an atom of cigarrete, an atom of alcohol. I was never even "tempted", it was not as if i was controlling "myself" regarding the same. I just did not like them!! This is due to Virakti and Vairagya over these things in past lives. regards partha vedic astrology, "vijayadas_pradeep" <vijayadas_pradeep> wrote: > Dear Partha Ji > > Thanks for the mail and info about Rahu and Ketu. > I have one more question. > You have mentioned in one of your previous mails about true > happiness to be the cause of moksha and the three realted houses. > True Happiness shows no desire. And every act is an experience and > learning. Can this learning be achieved without really experiencing > it.I will quote an example. > > If an individual is eating meat and has worldly pleasures does that > mean the soul has not attained total happiness related to these > matters in the past. And in the reverse case can we say the > individual has experienced these pleasures in the past life and has > no more desire left. Thus my question is, is it possible to have no > desire without really experiencing? > > Respect > Pradeep > > vedic astrology, "V.Partha sarathy" > <partvinu5> wrote: > > Dear Pradeep > > > > Please dont feel bad, as you have not made any mistake. > > > > THere are two nodes of Moon-perception, these are Rahu-illusions, > > Ketu-mistakes. > > > > Thus we think that we are "commiting" mistakes. Guest guest
Dear Partha Ji Thanks for your mail. I was having a similar thought in mind.If you have never experineced something, how could you have a virakti towards that. Trying to 'understand' my thoughts is a tough job.Understanding all habits might have a conflict with one's Dharmic duties? - I am scared (though i shouldnt be scared!).Food habits are just a habit.Discontinuing habits may be a sacrifice. But that wont help.Because Virakti should come by its own (i mean not through force).Ok i can think like this, one should go a bit deep about the food, not only food about all our acts. Then may be we could get some clue! The real reason may be lack of 'awareness'. Thanks again for the valuable thoughts Pradeep vedic astrology, "V.Partha sarathy" <partvinu5> wrote: > Dear Pradeep > > There are different schools, one is that of renunciation and the > other is enjoyment and experience. > > There is a third school-understanding. > > Neither by giving up, nor by fulfilling the desire can we overcome > the desire.
