Guest guest
SARVAM GYANANANDAMAYAM JAGAT AUM GURUBYO NAMAH Dear Members, Deepawali is considered to be an array of lights. Traditionally what we do is to take a cup like container and pour oil into it and light the wick soaked in the oil. Now let us take the zodiac. The zodiac when divided into two can give two such cups(180 degrees each). How to divide this zodiac into two halves? From Simha to Makara the half is called as the Solar half while Kumbha to Karkataka the half is called as the Lunar half. Let us take these two cups and pour our concentration into it and request Guru to light the wick of readiness to be lit so as to remain illumined. The zodiac divided into two such halves are called as Surya and Chandra Horas. We already know that each rasi is divided into two halves of 15 degrees each. The 1st half of each odd rasis belong to Solar half and the 2nd half of each even rasis belong to Lunar half. Count for the Solar half begins from Simha while the count for Lunar half begins from Kumbha. This way the Hora chart can be completed. i just wanted to place this knowledge of these two cups(Horas) as lamps to be lit on Deepawali day. The source of this knowledge is through traditional teachings. i wish all the members a very happy deepawali. May the Mother Mahalakshmi who is the embodiment of Trikalagyana bless. Guest guest
Dear Ramnarayan, There are 2 methods for Hora chart. One has all planets in Cancer and Leo, another has the planets divided over all signs. As it looks from your description, planets are divided over the entire zodiac, and thus the calculation goes by the part of half a sign, starting from Leo or Aquarius for Sun and Moon Hora resp. if I'm right. If not, then please send me more info personally. Yours, Dhira Krsna dasa, Jyotisha http://www.radhadesh.com
