Dear Jayashree,

First, your Ishtadevatha is signified by Rahu in Taurus in Navamsa as aspected

by Venus in a house owned by Venus. This may indicate Sri Lakshmi Varaha

Swami(may also signify Sri Balaji of Tirupathi) or Sri Durga Devi.Pray to

either of them based on your inclinations toward Vishnu worship or Devi

upasana. This will give you Gati in this lifetime.

Now regarding your job there is a high posiblity between Dec 2004 and April

2005. This is the Ketu/Jupiter/Jupiter period. Jupiter is the ninth lord from

D-10 lagna and placed very favorably from the AL in the ninth.So he will make

an attempt to bring you back to the workforce.The next favorable peiod is that

of Saturn in late 2005 and early 2006.He is placed in the AL and from the Moon

is in the fourth and also lords chandra lagna. However, since he is neecha he

will indicate a lot of effort from your side.

You need to offer prayers to Sri Narsimhadeva, who is the fifth lord in D-10. I

Just I wanted to interfere about your birth time.It is not 14 : 35 but it can be

14 : 32 as this time tallies with Kunda,Pranapada Lagna and Navamsha

Dwadashamsha Lagna.But if you take 14:35,then it tallies only Pranapada Lagna

and Navamsha Dwadashamsha Lagna and Kunda method fails.So according to me it is

better to take 14 : 32 Hrs. as your birth time and as per this also your AL in

D-10 falls in Vrishabha Rasi.Now you just go through same D-10 chart and follow

the transit of Guru who is in Simha Rasi now.This Guru aspects Guru himself in

D-10 who is in Dhanu Rasi who is AmK for your chart and also aspects

Surya,Rahu in 7th from Simha and Shani (V) who is in Mesha Rasi.Now look at

your Vimshottari Dasa.Ketu Dasa-Rahu's Antara- Guru's Pratyantara runs between

22-11-2003 and 12-01-2004.Also if you see the Ashtaka varga for D-10 chart,in

Guru's Bhinnashataka varga,he has 6 beneficial bindus in Dhanu Rasi and 32

Actually, since I had asked this question several times on this forum as well as

to people I know otherwise, and quite to my misfortune (or bad transits), I did

not get any time-frame so far, you are the first, so I had given into the

conclusion that something is terribly wrong with my chart with respect to

employment. Yes, I agree, some people who are in similar level to me in

configuration, to be kicked-on by Ketu..Next, Sudharsan ji, my birth time is

not 2:26:55 PM, but my original recorded birth certificate time of 2:35 PM,

Chennai, Oct 31st 1971 seems accurate... Sorry for this confusion, but I heard

from this nice person who earlier tried rectifying my chart from 2:35 and gave

the 2:26 timing, got back recently and let me know, that 2:35 pm seems to be

the highly accurate time... And my mother additionally had been very sure of

2:35 PM all the time.. So, I have to say, with this, my dasamsa lagna has

changed, so also has AL in dasamsa and so on...If you see the previous

employment I had, it was as 'Programmer/Analyst' with a Retail company and I

got this job

first on June 16th 1997, which was during Mercury/Jupiter/Saturn. If I look into

my dasamsa, I see that lord of AL Venus, conjoining lord of A10 and A5 Mercury

in 12th to lagna indicates a Programming job in a country away from homeland.

Also, as someone else told me, my 10th lord of Rasi Mars hemmed inbetween ®

debilitated Saturn, and Rahu undergoing papa-kartari yoga and being placed in

8th to lagna, indicates hurdles and setbacks in profession, which is what I'm

indeed undergoing. But Mars also being placed in hora lagna in 11 to dasamsa

Arudha lagna I guess indicates income from profession. I also guess my future

profession might involve the same lines as what I worked on before, as Mars

10th lord of rasi aspects A10 and A5 of dasamsa? Also, I noticed the upachaya

placement of Venus the lord of Arudha Lagna Venus in 3rd from AL, and lord of

A10 Mercury in 11 from A10, with AL and A10 conjoining together, which

seems to suggest better job satisfaction over time? This I'm asking since though

I overall liked my earlier job, it was unsatisfactory in many ways, as I did not

get right opportunities for mentally rewarding work despite taking all efforts

for it, which also severly limits my resume right now.. This also seems to

confirm my view that the same happened due to the upachaya (3 and 11) placement

of lord of AL and A10 in dasamsa?Sorry for reverting back to a different time,

but my recorded birth certificate time is 2:35 pm and only this is correct.

Also, sorry for bombarding you with so many questions, but I'm also very

interested in Jyotish and I wonder many times along the lines I stated above

with regards to my chart, and had really wished to be able to ask someone about

the same. I will be really obliged if you can kindly clarify the same for me,

taking 2:35 PM into account, and I shall wait for your reply.Regarding

Ishta-Devata, I'm really drawn to Sri Vishnu and Sri Lakshmi, I also like to

pray to all gods, but feel the attachment more with Sri Vishnu and Sri Lakshmi.

But I have noticed that you are really spiritual, but I have to grow more in

that accord, infact I used to be very casual with my religious observances

until the commencement of Ketu, but I think what I feel right now towards

prayers and spirituality is to stay through good times also in future, and I'm

pretty sure about this, as I'm also getting older. Thankyou very much for

attaching the slokas. I will recite them, currently I'm doing regular worship

also to Goddess Durga.I will wait to hear from you as to what your opinions are

with 2:35 PM, I guess it is still the same, as then Jupiter who gave job the

first time becomes 5th lord in 5, thus favoring some employment in his

Dear Jayashree,

The blessings of Sri Jagannatha and the parampara has saved me from a possible

"wrong-time" analysis.even with the wrong time the period I gave earlier has

not changed .Now the period between Nov 2004 thru Nov 2005 should see you in

the workforce.Jupiter being the fifth lord is all the more capable of blessing

you.Though he is placed in the 8th from AL , it only means that you will be

using resources belonging to others to achieve material status. The lagnamsaka

dasa of Scorpio which shows the movement of status in the material world, is of

Pi/Sag. Pisces contains the Moon and Sagitarius is your Rasi AL, which has a

high probablility of a job prospect.

The manthra I gave earlier for Sri Narasimhadeva is all the more necessary as

Mars is your ninth Lord in D-10 and is involved in the papkarthari. He will

protect your interests if you take it up with sincereity and a sense of

surrender.Regarding your Ishta Devatha, if you are drawn to Sri Vishnu, then

you must take up His worship seriously as our mental disposition matters a lot.

I only have one request to make-,pray to the Sri Maha Vishnu but dont ask for

anything.He knows whats best for you and that attitude is very helpful in

controlling any hankering and anxiety.Otherwise your relationship with God

takes the form of a business-For ex. its like,"Iam chanting Your manthras and

You in return should grant me my wishes". Leave everything to Him and just do

the prayers, He is certain to protect you.
