Dear Chintan,

Nadi Dosha is considered very important in matching charts for marriage,Nadi

means pulse or energy caused by nerves indicating physiological and hereditary

matters.In Ayurveda,we have 3 types of Doshas or humours called VATA ( Windy

),PITTA ( Bile ) and SLESHMA (Phlegm ).So while matching charts both boy and

girl should have different Nadis,then only Kuta is agreed.

I am a learner in this subject and as I have heard from many people that in case

of boys-girl having same ANTYA OR ADYA NADI...there are some pooja OR vidhis to

be performed to get NADI DOSHA cancelled. But in MADHYA NADI...nothing can be

done.

 

I also heard from some Panditji that In case of Same nadi, if both families are

more interested to go ahead in marriage proposals...they match Nakshatras and

Charan in which boy and girl were born...if that is different...they give green

signal...but I think this is just a work around.

 

In many cases I have seen a couple having same NADI or same GOTHRA...have

problem in marriage life..like understanding..happiness...health...peace of

mind or child issues...etc.. Even going far..I have seen same GOTHRAs couple

have their kids with abnormalities or difficiencies. I am very sure there must

be some science involved with gotras and nadi.

 

I would be enlighten if you share and explain some of these facts.

Dear Chintan,

As you said ,regarding Nadi of both the bride and bridegroom are same,then also

marriage can be conducted but then the following conditions should match

perfectly.

The Rasi Kuta and Rajju kuta should match,both the bride and bride groom's

Chandra rasi ( Janma Rasi ) lords shoul be same and the Janma Rasi lords should

be friendly to each other.

Now you wrote about Gothra.Yes the Gothras of both should be different

,otherwise you are making a big mistake.See now for example a boy has Marichi

Gothra and the girl also has the same Gothra ie,both the girls and boy's

nakshatras are either Ashwini,Pushya,Swati and Abhijit ( This has been

mentioned in Prashna Margam ).Now what is a Gothra ? It is a lineage or the

family tree started from that Maharshi or in other words those belong to same

Gothras are like brothers and sisters.So how you will match such a combination

as boy are girl are co-borns of the same Gothra.According to me ,it is a sin.

Prashna Margam gives the following Shloka regarding Gothra matching :

DASRAADIKAANAAM RUSHAYO MARICHIH SHRESHTO VASISHTO MUNIRANGIRAASCHA,

ATRIH PULASTYAH PULAHAH KRUTUSCHA KRAMENA BHAANAAM ABHIJIDUTAANAAM.

Meaning Ashwini,Pushya ,Swati and Abhijit belong to Marichi

Gothra,Bharani,Ashlesha,Vishakha and Shravana belong to Vasishata

Gothra,Krittika,Maksha,Anuradha,Dhanishta belong to Angirasa

Gothra,Rohini,Poorva Phalguni,Jyeshta, Shatabhisha belong to Atri

Gothra,Mrisgashira,Uttara Phalguni,Moola and Poorvabhadra belong to Pulastya

Gothra,Ardra,Hasta,Poorvashada,and Uttarabhadara belong to Pulaha Githra and

finally Punarvasu,Chitra,Uttarashada and Revati belong to Krutu Githra.

Further it states like this :

EKARASHI GOTHRODBHAVAYORVIPATTIM KAROTI KANYAA NARAYO VIVAHAH,

VIBHINNA GOTHRODBHAVAYOH SHRIYAM CHA BHAJANMA GOTHRAIKYAMAPIEHA MADHYAM.

Meaning If the Gothra of the boy and girl are same ,there will be miseries and

difficulties,but if belong to different Gothras ,then there will be prosperity

and happiness lies in their life.Also if the Lagna Sphuta Nakshatra 's Gothra

are same then the match is middling and if this is also different,then matching

is very good.
