Sani - my view

Hi Tanvir,

Thanks for your nice comments. I would further like to

add that during transits of shani, a person has to go

through down phase (sometimes as based on position os

sani in chart) in life. Also these are my views about

Shanidev. I am sharing here (according to best of my

knowledge).

Also, Ups and Downs are part of life and downtimes

gives us some lessons that are used in later part of

life. Also it gives a struggle, which may seem bad

while bad period or low period is going, but that

becomes the basis of good times ahead. One do the

hardwork and thus gain knowledge and experience. Yes,

it is true rough times are hard to sustain, but a

there is a positive part also. One tends to think on

different pattern. Thanks to sadhesati of Shani,

otherwise, I guess, I would have never picked up

astrology and devoted my time on that. Now atleast, I

know some of the concepts of this art and as each day

progresses, I get to learn new things.

Now, I feel one should be positive about it. As Good

times were gone, so will the bad times. But the low

periods (in which one works more, and get less rewards

and a lot of other struggles are there) paves the way

for good times.

And one last point, which I would like to add is that,

When you get something after a lot of hard work,

struggles, problems and patience. You really, really

care for that and know its value in your life. So, Let

us take this part as also positive.

If I used anything wrong, or away from the truth.

Kindly correct me by giving your suggestions.

regards,

Neeraj

I am just trying to look from a positive point of

view.

Hi All,

Here's what I have experienced so far(for Taurus, Capricorn, Libra

and Aquarius Lagnas only):

For Capricorn and Aquarius, Shani is Lagna Lord and when favourably

placed in Libra, Capricorn or Aquarius, then it gives god financial

benefits during its dasa and anatar-dasas especially during

Saturn/saturn period, assuming that Saturn is not Atamkaraka, or

otherwise afflicted or combust.

For Libra Lagna, Shani is 4th and 5th Lord(Yogakaraka) and for Taurus

its 9th and 10th Lord(yogakaraka), so similarly good results can

happen during Saturn/Saturn period if Saturn is placed in Libra,

Capricorn or Aquarius, assuming that Saturn is not Atamkaraka, or

otherwise afflicted or combust.

Now if we add Saturn's transits from natal moon( Kantaka Shani,

Sapatama Shani, Ashtama Shani, Dasama Shani and Sade Sathi )for above

Lagnas, then the scenario becomes somewhat more complicated during

Saturn periods..that means benefits and challenges at the same time.

I think Kantaka Shani and Ashatama Shani are the most cruel transits,

(for Taurus, Capricorn, Libra and Aquarius Lagnas) when not passing

through Satun/Saturn period i.e, say you are passing through anatra-

dasas of other planets in Saturn Mahadasa or passing through

antardasas of other planets in Other Planets mahadasas

…that means that the advantage of Saturn's placement in in Libra,

Capricorn or Aquarius is reduced now and the Transit Saturn and

current antar-dasa controls the state of affairs now…So now people

with other Lagnas and People with Taurus, Libra, Capricorn and

Aquarius Lagna are on same level field i.e, Everyone gets to face the

harsh effects of Saturn's Transits.. Even then people with favourable

placement of Shani will somehow survive and lead a normal life, if

not great life. So Natal Saturn is still somewhat favourable for

some people even when its harmful in transits. So while some faced

very harsh effects, others simply learnt new tough lessons which were

less harsher in nature. So the Great Teacher did not really spare

anyone…

Dear Neeraj,

Thanks for your post about positive views on Saturn. Both views are needed in life :-)

Please see below for my replies.

>>>>Also, Ups and Downs are part of life and downtimesgives us some lessons that

are used in later part oflife. Also it gives a struggle, which may seem badwhile

bad period or low period is going, but thatbecomes the basis of good times

ahead.<<<<

Sade Sati, not necessarily will give good at last. I can not agree to this. Sade

Sati is simple a bad transit - which makes people suffer. If you benefit from

it, it will be for other influences on Saturn. But it is not compulsory / sure

that Sade Sati makes people suffer to make the basis of good time. Do not you

think that? Basically, from it's self nature, Sade Sati is bad.

If Sade Sati was good to make the basis of future good time, the learned Gurus

here (Vedic-Astrology list) would not give remedies for Sade Sati. They would

advice us to endure this. Do not you think so?Even Guru Sanjay Jee suffered for

Sade Sati as he already mentioned that is why he suggested Sri Chamakam so that

any other person does not suffer for this.

>>> One do thehardwork and thus gain knowledge and experience. <<<

There are many kind of experience. But in this material world, we never like to

get touch experiences. Do we?

When you think from religious side, then every suffering and tough times are

lessons which we need. Then, you can say that Saturn is not bad. But actually,

then no planets are bad. Because suffering might come from any planet and from

a spiritual sense all sufferings are needed for us that is why no planet is bad

in that sense. Planets are the incarnation of Lord remember, to give us our

Karma phaal.

>>>Yes,it is true rough times are hard to sustain, but athere is a positive part

also. One tends to think ondifferent pattern. <<<

Not necessarily Sade Sati will make you learn to think positive. It depends on

other matters! Sade Sati itself does not hold the nature. Please do not make

this mistake.

>>>Thanks to sadhesati of Shani, otherwise, I guess, I would have never picked

upastrology and devoted my time on that. Now atleast, Iknow some of the

concepts of this art and as each dayprogresses, I get to learn new things.<<<

Again, do not think that Sade Sati made you learn astrology. That would be a

very big mistake to think that!! All people go through Sade Sati if they live a

general span of life. But how many people get into astrology? Please never make

this mistake. There are combinations for spiritual knowledge or astrology

knowledge what is being discussed currently in the 'Vedic-astrology' list.

Spiritual knowledge or Jyotish is indicated from other ways Neeraj. You must

have those indications in your chart. Thousands of Sade Sati will not get you

into astrology unless indicated in your chart in those ways.>>>Now, I feel one

should be positive about it. As Goodtimes were gone, so will the bad times. But

the lowperiods (in which one works more, and get less rewardsand a lot of other

struggles are there) paves the wayfor good times. And one last point, which I

would like to add is that,When you get something after a lot of hard

work, struggles, problems and patience. You really, reallycare for that and know

its value in your life. So, Letus take this part as also positive.<<<

That is good. I wish that people suffer for Sade Sati would get the benfit for

this suffering. But I do not think that they get the benefit always. When you

use hard work, perseverence, patience to get a reward, that is a positive of

Saturn Neeraj. But negative Saturn gives you almost nothing (Than lessons) for

the sufferings. Please do not make this mistake.>>I am just trying to look from

a positive point of view.<<

Great! In life, or even in astrology, never use "only positive" or "only

negative" views! You can never judge something then, nor can you make good

predictions!! Try to judge "As it really is". That would be better. It is not

the nature of Sade Sati to make you learn astrology.

Dear Friend,

I am a new member of your group therefore i rewuest you to

please forgive me if i make any mistake in my postings.

Sani (Saturn) is a karmic planet and gives us karmic

lessons as per our karma which are based on our will.

While doing good deeds we remain humble - i believe its

true. But at times when we go out of the way for our

gain-then we take wrong steps one way or the other. While

that time passes on very well till our good fate prevails.

Ones we are in the clutches of lord saturn then he makes us

suffer our wrong doings (which were willful). During the

Sadesati Saturn gives good as well as bad lessons or which

come a hard way depending upon our past deeds. Therefore,

one should not forget the consequences on committing wrong

things.

Sincere Regards,

Prakash Kandpal
