Has the child been given a name yet? The samskara best be done on the tithi of birth or on Purnima, or any auspicious religious day. Please let them do a yajna also to please Sri Ramacandra, this can all be done at once. They can also do some japa of Visnu-sahasra-nama or names of Rama, in order to please his Istha devata.
