Guest guest Posted August 25, 2003 Report Share Posted August 25, 2003 Dear Gurus and Learned Members - Since Rahu is so much more closely associated with maya, does it make sense to judge rahu's effect more from the AL than from the actual lagna to determine if a person is going to have a happier or sadder Rahu dasha or antar? In practice i've mostly seen Rahu's placement from lagna more important while trying to determine whether it's good or bad, but still I am wondering about what i just asked. Sorry the question is not very clear, but i'm just thinking in that general direction. Any thoughts are always well appreciated. Thank you. Guest guest Posted August 25, 2003 Report Share Posted August 25, 2003 dear Jai, Any dasa is to be judged from three aspects 1) Sun -Maha Dasa 2) Moon- Antara Dasa 3) Lagna - Pratyantara Dasa.Use these as points of reference as you would the lagna and judge the results .This was a family secret of Sanjayji that he very generously gave to the Jyotish world. This is a great rule and gives remarkable results. This can also be applied toward divisional charts.An alternative is to examine the pratyantara dasa w.r.to AL. In the case of Rahu when he is in the 7th(opposition) to AL he gives spirituality of a very high order. The logic is that since he represents base material desires, if even he is opposed to the maya signified by AL, there can be no opposition to the native's spiritual life. If wrt Lagna is good and in a dusthana wrt Al then the planet will help the person but spoil his image. ie like the following: 1. Being a bright student in a mediocre school/college 2. Working for a small start up firm but being happy in doing the work etc. If wrt Al the place ment is Good but wrt Lagna is bad, the the planet will ceate more hardships for the person but his Image will be protected. ie Like being a mediocre student from IIT/Harvard etc but because being from an elite institute having a recognition.
