Namaste Listmembers,

 

....yogakaraka Venus is in rasi sandi in marana karaka sthana, Venus is also DK.

Venus sits in the nakshatra of Mrigahsira ruled by Mars. The native's wife is

very similar to her husband; frugal, yet obsessed with making money.

Mercury, Lord of 6th and 9th, karak of work/service and morals in this case,

is totally combust Sun, Lord of 8th in 7th hse. 8th hse signifies shared

resources or the resources of others. Sun directly aspects Lagna and is enemy

of Lagna Lord. Although partnerships aggrieve the native, his preoccupation

with increasing his wealth overcomes the discomfort.

Moon, Amk, Lord of 7th is in 12th hse. Maybe he doesn't really 'like'

people?. Maybe he feels to share, is to somehow lose?.

The impression I get from the native is the money is a shield to protect

himself from rejection by others. (sorry about the pop psychology, but I feel

he carries a deep pain).

What divisional chart should I consult for a clearer picture?.D27?

Dear Ann,

Maybe look at D-4? Emotional state, happiness? In it he's got Aries lagna with

Mars in the 8th with Saturn and Jupiter and in the 4th he has Mercury (lord or 3

and 6) and Sun. Moon is in a parivartana with Mercury between 3rd and 4th - so

an enjoyment of conflict? And Venus, DK and lord of 7th here is in the 3rd

house, so again maybe a certain tendency to associate relationships with

conflict or competetiveness. And Ketu is again in the 5th, as it was in rasi

(but different sign, of course). So, reflecting his rasi, Venus, Moon and

Jupiter are all in difficult houses for benefics.

In the D-27 as far as continuing to look for his mental frame of mind, happiness

potential, he's got debilitated Ketu in the 4th, Taurus, with the lord of the

7th, the Sun and they receive graha dristi from Saturn in the 2nd. The lord of

the 5th, Mercury, in the 6th. And DK Venus is with Mars in its own sign, Libra,

in the 9th, so that's good, but maybe tempered by Libra being badhaka sthana for

Aquarius lagna. Also Mars may continue that theme of competition in

relationships, or maybe on the positive side a healthy, energetic relationship.

Also, Mars has rasi dristi on the Moon.

My Dear Ann and Laurie,

 

Thanks a lot for keeping the Light on the List while our Gurus attend other

duties. I'm sorry I haven't participated for a while.

Ann, you've chosen an excellent example since we all tend, from time to time to

play the role of 'miser', and, out of insecurity,

be part of 'poverty mentality' /my friend's definition of 'money hunters' /.

That's like a whirl that takes the best of our lives so often. I laughte when I

read your message Ann, and your sincere wondering why he/they need that much

for!!!

II agree, it's mostly psychological problem /and socially- rewarding behavior/ ,

and at a 'developed stage' becomes overwhelming personality trait.

Is 'sold the soul to devil' expression one of the most accurate description of this problem?

What would be the astrological signature for this phenomena. One may notice that

Saturn is invariably involved in most cases. But, as Laurie

says 'Saturn has to be somewhere in the chart', so I would also prefer to look further..

 

I have one example, close to me, of a nice lady, whom I like- overly interested

in getting, having, acquiring, profiting, multiplying, etc..of wealth. Physical

 

expression of this is that native is also /havily/ overweight. /Not all

overweight people have the same problem, but this one does/. She is unhappy

most of the time, with lots of hypochondriac symptoms. New invention of her is

that one needs at least 1mil. dollars to be safe and secure financially- sure

she'll find support for her intention very easily, nowadays! married with nice

son.

I would like to direct your intention on Badhakesh exalted in 6th, with mars,

opposite Moon. Sounds like BM indeed, but until we get 'experts' Gurus here,

let's play 'by ear' and share our impressions. Rahu-Ketu-mars, Saturn? KSY?What

can be done, how would you go about helping her?
