Let me humbly request your assistance to confirm if there is any sarpa dosha in my chart and of my son. In my chart Rahu is in lagna, all other planets except Saturn is between Rahu Ketu axis and saturn is weak. DOB:15-05-1967, 6.00 a.m, 76 E 14, 9 N 58 My son's chart, Rahu and Mars together born in aslesha star DOB: 11-11-1998, 4.12 p.m, 76 E 14, 9 N 58 As per advice of astrologers I have done several remedial measures earlier. One of my brother got kalasarpa yoga, but he got Jupiter in simha lagna, which may remove the KSY. After reading your notes on sarpa dosha, I fealt I have KSY. May be its results I am struggling in vain. Despite to my hard work result is very little or bad. Guest guest Posted August 20, 2003 Report Share Posted August 20, 2003 Dear Mr. Rangaraj - To answer this basic question of whether you have KSY, i just cast your chart and you definitely don't have KSY. Also, you are currently going through Mercury's dasha (from 1987 - april 2004) . Mercury is your 3rd and 6th house lord and it's also combust by Sun. I had heard before from Sanjayji that the 3rd house lord's dasha is usually not the best for parents and being combust helps even less. Another thing i noticed is flanked on either side of your 1st house is saturn and sun both of which cause papakartari yoga. Mer being closely joined with sun takes on it's characteristics and hence in your mercury dasha you have feel the papakartari yoga taking effect. In Dasamsa (D-10) lagna has Sun the 8th lord and again lagna is subjected to papakartari (Ke, Me on one side and retro Mars on the other) which will cause problems at work. In addition to this, the 10th lord Ve is debilitated in Mercury's house without neecha bhanga. Needless to say, Mercury dasha would not have been very fruitful. After mercury's dasha you have Ketu dasha starting and that goes until 2011. Ketu causes papakartari on the second house in D-12 indicating there may be problems in your family life during then and also, Ketu being in the 7th is not good for health. I hope Ramadasji or one of our Gurus will read this and correct me if I am wrong and also, hope one of the Gurus will let you know of some remedy.
