Guest guest
Namaste Listmembers, There can be no honour in deriding an old man, K.N.Rao being a case in point. To occupy our minds in the absence of Sanjay et al, here is a chart of male who was seemingly born old!. Birth Details are as follows: July 21st 1956, 5.55pm (142E09 34S12) 10hrs east GMT, Asc 8Cp34 From humble beginings, he has worked tirelessly to become quite a wealthy man. Unfortunately, he cannot give to others or to himself. This behaviour brands him as a social pariah and borders on a sickness. I will comment on the chart later, as I'm off to a party!!. Warm Regards, Ann.
Guest guest
Namaste Listmembers, Yes, I had a lovely time, thankyou very much. Good company, beautiful flowers, lots of laughs and cake; and I didn't feel corrupted at all Sateesh!! I am going to need help with this chart as my question is, Why does this man hoarde his money?. I think there is an insecurity plaguing him and I don't know where/how to find it. Firstly I look to placement of AK (Mars) and houses owned (4th and 11th) to determine his soul urge and areas which will figure prominently in it's expression. Lagna lord Saturn sits with Rahu in 11th involved in a nice parivartana with Mars in 2nd. The native has made his money from buying and selling property and has also benefited greatly by his business association with his elder brother. So the money is there, that's fine. But Mars is badhaka, being co-lord of 11th. Looking to the Lagna and trines for ones nature, we find he has Ketu, Lord of 11th, uncomfortable and alone in 5th, but under Rohini nakshatra. This man does not gamble, he is very patient and shrewd. Perhaps he is driven to profit?. 12th Lord of expenses or spending, Jupiter, sits in 8th hse aspecting his tenant Moon by 5th aspect graha drishti. Is this some sort of gayatresi yoga (sp?)?. So what does he spend his money on?...business partners?...wife?...mother?. None of this is obvious, although he has spent on travel. Maybe I am the one with the hangup? My credo being "You can't take it with you!". I would be appreciative of any input towards this puzzle. Guest guest
Hi Dear Ann, Nice to see you. And great that you had such a lovely time tonight ;-) I'm getting a slightly different chart. Don't you have Mercury with Ketu in 5H? I also have a different Moon though and earlier Asc.. (perhaps due to different ayanamsha, but why Mercury) Can you give place of birth? I should be in bed, but this is interesting and am still up checking this. But maybe missing something obvious in entering birth data. Kind regards, Patrice ______ Namaste Listmembers, Yes, I had a lovely time, thankyou very much. Good company, beautiful flowers, lots of laughs and cake; and I didn't feel corrupted at all Sateesh!! Guest guest
Hi Dear Ann, As I sat here bleary eyed waiting for the last email to post, I found the error in my ways, off a month, June, rather than July.. I will go to bed and sleep, forgive my error. I look forward to seeing this chart and hearing your thoughts and those of others on list and checking this chart out tomorrow! Guest guest
Dear Ann, A couple of things struck me as potentially problematic in his chart regarding his attitude to money. His benefics are all in trouble and his 4th and 5th houses have their own problems, but I'll start with some things I noticed about his lagna lord, Saturn. It is in the badhaka houuse for this chart and it is in a parivartana, as you said, with Mars, between the 2nd and 11th houses. But for Cap. lagna Mars is badhakesh and it is his AK, so a "teaching" planet and since these are 2 houses of income and the 2nd is about what you have in the bank, it might make him rather obsessed about that and being badhakesh bring up troubles regarding this (or his attitude about it since Mars is also his 4th lord). Also, Rahu is what tends to bring up fears in our lives and it is debilitated and with his lagna lord in Scorpio, the badhaka house, and in a nakshatra ruled by Saturn, lagna lord. And if you want to bring nakshatras into it, Saturn and Mars are both in Jupiter ruled nakshatras and Jupiter is not a benefic for Capricorn lagnas and it is placed in the 8th house - a fairly negative placement for Jupiter unless he is a researcher or very into spiritual/occult matters, which it does not sound like he is. Also, his Moon is in the 12th with its dispositor in the 8th, so that can't make for a comforatable mind and it is in a Venus ruled nakshatra and Venus is in the 6th (and stays in the 6th even with Sri Pati) and is extremely rashi sandhi and in a nakshatra ruled by his AK and badhakesh Mars. The Moon also goes to Virgo in the navamsa and receives graha dristi from Mars, Saturn and the 12th house dristi of Rahu. It is with exalted Mercury, but for Pisces lagna, Mercury is badhakesh and its in Marana karaka sthana and this Mercury may also bring out more strongly the side of Virgo which can tend towards thriftiness and ultra perfection. In looking at the 4th and 5th houses of the mind - his 4th lord, Mars, is AK and Badhakesh, as mentioned above and it is in the 2nd house, so showing his concern with his bank balance. The 5th house has debilitated Ketu in it and that is co-lord of his badhaka house and its dispositor is Venus, which, as also mentioned is in the 6th and very rashi sandhi. The 5th house gets graha dristi from Saturn and Rahu and his 4th gets rasi dristi from them. In the navamsa his 4th house has Mars and Jupiter in Gemini and his 5th, Cancer, has Saturn, so malefics in both of those houses. In his rasi Jupiter, Venus and the Moon are all in dustanas and his Mercury is in Marana Karaka Sthana and quite combust the Sun in Cancer. So, all the benefics which might bring him comfort are in difficult places and his 4th and 5th houses have "issues" and his lagna lord has problems too (especially being with debilitated Rahu). I think that this all makes the gentleman understandably anxious and concerned about not losing what good (money) he perceives to have in life. If he was able to be interested in spiritual things with that 8th and 12th house, his life would probably be a lot easier. He's also been running Mars and Rahu maha dasas most of his adult life, so given the issues with Mars being AK, Badhaka and in the 2nd and Rahu debilitated in the 11th, it seems clear he'd be really concerned with money (and Rahu maha under the best of circumstances is never described as a picnic time!). His Dasamsa is intense and shows his ability to work hard, so, yes, he's able to make money, just not able to really enjoy it - but that 12th house moon does show he enjoys traveling which you mentioned he does indeed do, so I am glad he has that at least. Maybe when he hits Jupiter maha dasa in 2010 he'll turn more to tending his spiritual life. Oh, and his DK is Venus with all its problems (especially being in the 6th in rasi and in the 8th in navamsa) and his 7th has fairly low SAV points, so I think you are right that he probably is not spending secretly and lavishly on his wife or even a girlfriend. Am sure other people and the Gurus will be able to correct anything I've said and give a better understanding, but just wanted to toss out some thoughts on it. You were right - good to get alternate discussions going and am glad you enjoyed the party!
