I agree with your Email. KN RAO was praising DR RAMAN to the Sky. Infact in the

Astrological Magazine he wrote that his Guru Jyotish Bkaskarananda believed

Raman was the greatest astrologer of India. Subsequently in later years in his

books he wrote derogatry things about Dr Raman.even using Bhaskaranandji"s

comments to make RAman look a poor astrologer. KN RAO HAS FORGOTTEN THAT THE

BASIC ETHICAL DISCIPLINE OF YOGIC PHILOSOPHY IS" DO NOT SPEAK ILL OF OTHERS"

KN RAO has a EGO HIGHER THAN HIMALAYAS HIS PREDICTIVE ABILITIES ARE POOR and He

should stop behaving like some Avatara or God and should stop passing value

judgements on other astrologers. His(RAO"S) students, I met in Toronto Told me

clearly that SANJAY RATH was a much better astrologer in terms of predictive

ability than KN RAO.JI Abbot <jiabbot-lists (AT) sbcglobal (DOT) net> wrote:

Dear friends,

With all due deference to Mr. Narasimha Rao's request that list members not

criticize well-known jyotishis, I nonetheless cannot help but ask why **Mr.

K.N. Rao** seems to have such a need to do this!

I have read scathing, gloves-off attacks by him of Prof. B.V. Raman, Prof. K.S.

Krishnamurti, Pandit Sanjay Rath and other respected practitioners. It deeply

puzzles me why he appears to feel a need to demean other astrologers as a means

to hold on to his own turf. (If I have missed something here, I would be

honored to be enlightened as to what has truly gone on.)

Another thing that perplexes me is K.N. Rao's apparent penchant for disclosing

the names and details of his clients, as evidenced in the email cited below (to

the extent that it's an authentic writing of K.N. Rao).

If Mr. K.N. Rao would like to explain this unusual behavior, I would be more

than open to hearing his explanations - so perhaps one of his disciples

listening in can request a response. Of course, I cannot help but fear that

some years hence when I have something more to say about Jyotish, I will be the

next target for his "this town ain't big enough for the both of us" form of

sport and leisure.

My regrets, Narasimha, if I have overtstepped my bounds. But Jimbo standing

arms akimbo really pushed the discussion over the edge in my book.

Sincerely,

his success in the section officer examination and I had predicted his success.

He answered he was and he thanked me for that prediction. Later, when on the

list he was giving political predictions, I had warned him, on this list not to

do it because as a government servant he could run into trouble. I had seen his

horoscope in the meantime. I do not remember his answer. But he ran into

trouble and had to, to cut a long story short, leave his job. If anyone has the

archives of the list that could be reproduced. Those days he was doing

engineering from Madras was what his father had told me. After

that I was a little surprised that instead of joining some industry he chose to

appear for such a small examinati! on which ofcourse is tough. In the late

eighties, his uncle N.R.Hota IAS who had been consulting me since 1978 told me

once that his nephew (Sanjay) was spending sometime on astrology after office

hours.Like most of us, he after high school he went into a professional course

and not into Sanskrit studies in higher courses. One day when he sent a copy of

his book Crux etc.I had commented on this list that most of the horoscopes he

had used were wrong. I had them in my personal collection and I had given many

predictions on them. Now it seems he is a full time astrologer though I have

not met him after 1986 when I changed my house in Delhi. I am not aware of his

present activities. In 1998 his wife, Sushma, had come to me for an

astrological reading. When I talk about him it is with familiarity.K.N.Rao.

Dear List,

Whatever may be the abilities of Mr. K.N. Rao, but

certainly this is not the correct way to point out

mistakes of anyone (if any). I had been on this list

for a couple of months and it is my personal belief

that Respected Sanjay Rath Ji is a good astrologer. I

had seen him on the list helping out other people and

explaining things in a simple and beautiful manner.

It should be noted that no one is perfect in this

world and too err is human. But certainly as the

experience goes on, the chances of errors are

minimized.

But the way Mr. K.N. Rao pointed out Sanjay Ji and

B.V. Raman is not at all correct. It reflects his EGO.

He may be a better astrologer that Pt. Sanjay Ji or

Dr. B.V. Raman, if viewed from some particular

reference, but according to me the behaviour shown

here does not reflect it of a sound and good human

being.

One should be courteous and should have respect for

other members and people in the society.

Kind regards,

Neeraj Gupta

In Toronto I had met few people who had learnt astrology from Bhartiya Vidya

bhavan and they told me That Sanjay Rath is a better astrologer Than KN RAO,

Sir Rao"s predictive abilities are poor. The common joke in Delhi amongst

professional people in Private sector is that if you want an appointment with

KN RAO have your wife or secretary call him . My friend a senior manager in Air

India about 10 yrs ago called RAO for an appoinment but Rao refused him in a

very rude way. Then one of his friends advised him to have his secretary call

KN RAO. Then my friend in Air India had his secretary call KN RAO. And the

great Rao was sugar and honey and gave his secretarty the appoinment.KN rao

needs a course in ethical discipline and values.I dont consider him an

astrologer. I have met astrologers who are simple, honest, humble people and

they make predictions far superior to that of KNRAO.And IF YOU ALL MEMBERS IN

JYOTISH LIST REMEMEMBER THAT KN RAO HAD

APPEARED ON A TELEVISION PROGRAMME ANCHORED BY VIR SANGHVI IN 1997( I AM NOT

SURE ABOUT THE YEAR) AND IN FRONT OF EVERYONE HE HAD WITH HIS SHORT TEMPER AND

MISPLACED ARROGANCE MADE A FOOL OF HIMSELF, WITH EVERYONE LAUGHING AT HIM.

Respected group member and gurus,

The outburst against our most respected Guruji Shri Sanjay Rath ji by self

made brilliant Mr.K.N.Rao is not justified ,not desirable and highly

condemnable by all means. Unfortunately I was student in 1993 in Bharatiya

Vidya Bhawan under his patronage and that time also he betrayed his fellow

members Sh.J.N.Sharmaji,Shri M.N.Kedar ji and so many who worked against his

ego and cooperate to publish his self styled books. They wish to be

astrologer and publisher and result they parted with the eggoistic fellow.

He also fond of foregin people and corrupt INDIAN POLITICIAN and not like

indians whereas his livelihood is from Indian but he sold his skill if any

he has in US DOLLARS.SHAME FOR MR RAO who outburst against SH.B.V.RAMAN JI a

father of astrology and everyone who are in the field of astrology respect

by heart.

GOD GIVE SENSE OF HUMOUR AND WISDOM TO MR K.N.RAO.

Dear Sundeep Suri

Re: [vedic astrology] KN RAO

Dear Neeraj

JYOTISH LIST REMEMEMBER THAT KN RAO HAD APPEARED ON A TELEVISION PROGRAMME

ANCHORED BY VIR SANGHVI IN 1997( I AM NOT SURE ABOUT THE YEAR) AND IN FRONT OF

EVERYONE HE HAD WITH HIS SHORT TEMPER AND MISPLACED ARROGANCE MADE A FOOL OF

HIMSELF, WITH EVERYONE LAUGHING AT HIM.
