It is said that even the Veda Purusha was not able to describe the

greatness, power and glory of Lord Subrahmanya (KArthikEya) and just

uttered : " SubrahmanyOm SubrahmanyOm SubrahmanyOm " (Yagurveda

AraNyaka, Aruna Prashnah )

In the MahAnArAyaNa Upanishad, we find a Gayathri Mantra for the Lord:

" Om tatpurushAya vidmahE | mahAsEnAya dhImahi | tannah shaNmukhah

prachOdayaath "

the beeja mantra " hrIm saam " represents Lords' shakthi. Hence, many

Shrividya Upasakas use the above Gayathri as:

" Om hrIm sAm sharavaNa bhava | sAm hrIm Om || tatpurushAya vidmahE |

mahAsEnAya dhImahi | tannah shaNmukhah prachOdayaath "

The mantra " Om hrIm sAm rudrakumArAya ", when chanted while going

round the snake mound 108 times for 11 days (egg and milk should be

offered to snakes) gives miraculous results whatever the problem be.

I have learnt this prayOga from Ved | brahm | Sri Gunjur Ramachandra

Shastry (Bangalore) and I have suggested the same to many people who

were suffering from diseases, witchcraft, enemies etc and have seen

them recovering. However, this alone will not solve the problem

completely; but it should be essentially used before doing any Homa,

havan, puja or any other shAnthi kriyas, in order to be sure of the

result. When the Lord permits me, I shall also publish

the "Subrahmany mAlA mantra" which is a RAma baaN for all bhavarOgas.

regards
