One day when he sent a copy of his book Crux etc.I had commented on this list that most of the horoscopes he had used were wrong. I had them in my personal collection and I had given many predictions on them. Now it seems he is a full time astrologer though I have not met him after 1986 when I changed my house in Delhi. I am not aware of his present activities. In 1998 his wife, Sushma, had come to me for an astrological reading. When I talk about him it is with familiarity.K.N.Rao. Guest guest
With all due deference to Mr. Narasimha Rao's request that list members not criticize well-known jyotishis, I nonetheless cannot help but ask why **Mr. K.N. Rao** seems to have such a need to do this! I have read scathing, gloves-off attacks by him of Prof. B.V. Raman, Prof. K.S. Krishnamurti, Pandit Sanjay Rath and other respected practitioners. It deeply puzzles me why he appears to feel a need to demean other astrologers as a means to hold on to his own turf. (If I have missed something here, I would be honored to be enlightened as to what has truly gone on.) Another thing that perplexes me is K.N. Rao's apparent penchant for disclosing the names and details of his clients, as evidenced in the email cited below (to the extent that it's an authentic writing of K.N. Rao). If Mr. K.N. Rao would like to explain this unusual behavior, I would be more than open to hearing his explanations - so perhaps one of his disciples listening in can request a response. Of course, I cannot help but fear that some years hence when I have something more to say about Jyotish, I will be the next target for his "this town ain't big enough for the both of us" form of sport and leisure. My regrets, Narasimha, if I have overtstepped my bounds. But Jimbo standing arms akimbo really pushed the discussion over the edge in my book. Sincerely, J.I.
