(Principle of 3 pairs): (i) Lagna + Hora Lagna = (ii) Saturn + Moon = (iii) Lagna Lord + 8th Lord = Also, please tell me the result of the following combinations interms of the Long, Medium and Short life span. 1) Movable + Movable = 2) Movable + Fixed = 3) Movable + Dual = 4) Dual + Dual = 5) Dual + Fixed = 6) Fixed + Fixed = 7) Fixed + Dual = Thanks for your time and help. The 8th lord is calculated as per the table given in page 142 of Maharshi Jaimini's Upadesa Sutras by Pt Sanjay Rath under the heading "Eight House Reckoner" in chapter 2 Quarter 1. 2. Basically, Movable indicates Long Life, Fixed - Short Life & Dual - Medium Life span. So using this we get the following: > 1) Movable + Movable = Movable i.e Long Life > 2) Movable + Fixed = Dual i.e Medium > 3) Movable + Dual = Fixed i.e Short > 4) Dual + Dual = Dual i.e Medium > 5) Dual + Fixed = Movable i.e Long > 6) Fixed + Fixed = Fixed i.e Short > 7) Fixed + Dual = Movable i.e Long The logic is pretty simple, 1. if both are of the same type i.e Movable + Movable or Dual + Dual or Fixed + Fixed, then resultant is the same ... hence Dual + Dual = Dual i.e Medium Life Span. 2. If both are different , like Dual + Movable, then resultant is one that is different from both i.e Fixed. Similarly, Fixed + Movable = Dual. Hope this helps.
