Against killing the cow

First my apologies for posting content that has no direct relevance to Jyotisha.

But the subject matter is grave, given the karmic implications of killing a cow

or even encouraging such practices.The author of a recent book has endorsed the

eating of beef and also misinterpreted the Vedas to suit his theory. This is a

link for a petition that is opposing the publishing of the book. I humbly

request each and everyone of you to sign the petition as it takes only two

Recently one Mr. D. N. Jha has published a book entitled: “The Myth of the

holycow”.The book is based on misinterpretation of the Vedas and as a result

grievouslyinjures the sentiments of millions of Vedic followers, vegetarians

and Indiansall over the world. It contains misplaced conclusions and the sole

aim of theauthor has been to prove that the Vedic texts endorse eating beef.If

you want, you can sign the petition asking for the book to be withdrawn. Sofar,

there are only 1360+ petitioners.I would like that you would please forward this
