Guest guest
Dear Sanjayji and other learned memebers. What houses are the best placements of rahu. I have been reading so many different theories out there. Some say rahu is well placed in upachaya houses. Whiles some say it becomes more malefics placed in upchaya houses. Though it gives growth. There are yet others which state that when rahu is placed in kendras it gains more strength as any planet in kendra becomes powerful and gain more strength. Also there apprently exits a lot of confusion on the signs that rahu is comfortable in. I trust it gets exhalted in taraus and is comfortable in virgo, cancer . Can anyone provide with me opinions on this matters regards and best wishes . Mahesh
Guest guest
Dear Mahesh, Best placement is a relative term. Good results of a single bhava might cause bad results of other bhavas.Like planet giving pravajya leaves the family uncared for. How ever simply put rahu is good in 3,6 and 11. Again he is capable of causing rajayoga if placed alone in kendra ,speciall if in his own Rasi, Uccha or Moola trikona. Guest guest
Dear Chandrashekhar, this is an informative discussion about a mystery planet to me. I have a chart I am looking at where Rahu is in his moolatrikona (gemini) in the 1st. Would this be considered rajayoga? so what would be the effect of such a rahu, when in fact Ketu is in the 7th? (rahu sees ketu then, right?). would that effect the married life in a bad or good way? the native is yet unmarried and having trouble with work and stability. jupiter is in 10th -- with a functioning hamsa yoga. also, I myself have rahu in 12th in gemini and have heard that that is a placement for short life. what is the reason for that please? it sees (rashi-drishti) my badhak venus in the 8th and I know that is a sarpa badhak etc. thanks so much. rani. vedic astrology, "Chandrashekhar Sharma" <boxdel> wrote: > Dear Mahesh, > Best placement is a relative term. Guest guest
Dear Mahesh, There are many opinions of the Rasi ownerships of Rahu and ketu. The generally most accepted signs for Rahu are: Moola trikona Virgo, Own Aquarious, Uccha Gemini for phalita and Taurus for Ayur, Neecha Sagitarius for Phalita and Scorpio for Ayur. Diagonically opposite signs are for similar indicators for Ketu. Guest guest
Dear Rani, First things first. Gemini is Exaltation for Rahu and not Moolatrikona. The results would depend on the horoscope read as a whole. When alone Rahu gives two types of results. One is he acts loke the Lord of the house he occupies and second is that he behaves like Saturn"Manda sama Rahu". Having said that for the jataka being connected to Ascendant delayed marriage( with respect to practice in her community/ peers) and late rise are indicated. Its Mahadasha would give rise to Rajayoga when he also form sambandha with Ascendant. By implication Ketu is in 7th and could indicate problems in relationships with co-workers/partenres/life-partner as "Kujavat Ketu" is another axiom. Added to this is placement of Jupiter in Karmasthana. While Jupiterian aspects are good, it harms the place it occupies, though here being in own house the temedency is on a lesser scale "sthana bhrashta karoti Jeevaha". About your Rahu in 12th, I do not think his mere placement in 12th would indicate short life. He could make you somewhat detached towards your spouse and could also make you go to distant lands for bhagyodaya. He would however protect marriage and Ketu in 6th(by implication) make you win over enemies. There are too many criteria for term of life and using only one can mislead one. About Badhaka, I personally think their workings have not been fully researched. As the name indicates they would give badha to the house in which they are placed. So in your case being in what is known as Mrityu sthana it should delay death and not accelerate it. Hope this helps. Guest guest
dear chandrashekharji, thanks for the correction. I was aware of the gemini exaltation but still I am sometimes confused by rahu-ketu rulerships. different texts seem to have different signs. just a confirmation of what you said -- by "late rise" you meant late rise in career, am I right? and "kujavat ketu" -- that would mean, like mangal? so that would mean a kind of kujadosha? isn't ketu in the 7th house meant to give a spiritual spouse? also, would it also give disagreements with spouse? rahu and ketu are alone in 1st and 7th in this chart. this is my cousin who is yet unmarried and her parents are getting worried. and many thanks for setting my mind at rest re the long life issue. and yes, I do have a lot of questions about badhaks. I still do not have a clear idea about what they are all about. in my cancer lagna, the badhak is venus and it is badly placed in my chart. and although I sing well (venus in 8th aspecting 2nd) and I am creative in the arts, I have not made a lot of money doing it. but it's true that I have had some good things happen during venus antardashas in the past. anyway, thank you very much for answering my questions. vedic astrology, "Chandrashekhar Sharma" <boxdel> wrote: > Dear Rani, > First things first. Guest guest
Dear Rani, Late rise does mean late rise in carear and even more late recognition by elders. Ketu in 7th is likely to give some disagreement with spouse. Whether he will give spritual wife/husband I, personally, doubt. It would be observed that Saturn gives late rise late marriage etc. while Mars gives these early, subject to their strength and other planetary modifications. Her marriage might take place in Ketu Maha or Antar dasha. Other dashas relevant for her would be Jupiter and Venus. Transit Jupiter has to make sambandha with Ascendant or 7th house during that period.I am assuming that 7th house is unaspected and un occupied by any other planet than Ketu. Guest guest
dear chandrashekharji, thank you for your response to my questions. yes, ketu is alone in the 7th in her chart and other than rahu (from 1st) it does not have any graha drishti from any other planet. that must also mean something, right? the fact that only ketu and rahu aspect her 7th house? that must not be good. I will check her chart for ketu dasha and for jupiter and venus and get back to you. many thanks again. rani. vedic astrology, "Chandrashekhar Sharma" <boxdel> wrote: > Dear Rani, > Late rise does mean late rise in carear and even more late recognition by > elders.
