Guest guest
Sun is a malefic as per the Indian Vedic system. Yet, all remedies are advocated during morning/ day time. In India, we have all our poojas/ celebrations during the day while westerners have all celebrations at night. Not to mention that they are more properous than us. is there a reason behind this. please enlighten. with regards, NCG
Guest guest
Dear Shri Rathji, Moon is a natural benefic as compared to the Sun. It is soft and closest to the Earth. Should we not perform our poojas/ celebrations at night? The reasoning might be ridiculous as my knowledge is very limited. Guest guest
||Om Brihaspataye Namah|| Dear Shri NC Guptaji, The moon gets its light from the sun, so how does it become a natural benefic? It is soft only because it is not so bright as the Sun. Furthermore, what about the waxing moon and the waning moon? Why is the Sun classified as a natural malefic? Is it malefic for one who follows the path of Dharma? If the Sun doesnt do its dharma, will there be life on Earth? What are the rituals performed for? Are they performed to increase or decrease our dharmic potential? What about the correlation with the other planets? Why only the Sun and not other planets? Dont they also have some effect on the rituals that we perform? I hope you will take my questions in the right spirit. regards Hari vedic astrology, "nareshcg" <nareshcg> wrote: > Dear Shri Rathji, > > Moon is a natural benefic as compared to the Sun. Guest guest
Dear Sanjayji and group, Does Sun conjoined with benefics in a house become a participant for sarpa yoga or papakartari yoga? regards- Vaishali vedic astrology, "Sanjay Rath" <daivagyna@s...> wrote: > > > aià sarasvatyai sväha aià > Dear Gupta ji > Sun is Kroora and not Paapa. Guest guest
Dear Shri Rathji, As a guru, I think that you have every right to call me Naresh, and I would prefer it that way. Thanks for the correction and updesha. I will try to source the information so that I can work on my limited knowledge in a scientific way. But at SJC we admire people who have the guts to ask such questions as they are the ones who learn and cause learning. > > I think Narasimha has answered. > > Can I just give a small upadesa - Work on Chapter 3 of BPHS and don't ignore it as it is the foundation. Think about satvik planets. What parasara means by saying benefics are srong in the day and malefics strong at night...can we say Moon is strong in day and sun is strong at night??!!! Such ridiculous extensions sould not be acceptable, so then we need to work on this chapter more and understand the real difference between SUBHA and PAAPA and between SOUMYA and KRURA. > > Also bear in mind that the BPHS you all have is the creation of scholars in the past 100 odd years who painstakingly have been putting together the shlokas as they got them from palm leaves that were barely legible. Many shlokas are missing. For example in my grndfathers book in Oriya, one shloka given is clearly missing in BPHS Santanam edition as was pointed out by Sri Kailash Bhushan. The result was another effort and the present stage of BPHS in G C Sharma edition. At least we have something which is almost in a final shape..another 8 chapters I guess with the correct editing will do the job...provided we get those shlokas. > > Best of luck for the studies, > > Yours truly, > > Sanjay Rath > > H-5 BJB Nagar, Bhubaneswar 751014, India > > http://srath.com Tel:+91 674 243 6871 > > > nareshcg [nareshcg] > Saturday, July 26, 2003 2:14 PM > vedic astrology > [vedic astrology] Re: Auspicious Time > > > Dear Shri Rathji, > > Moon is a natural benefic as compared to the Sun.
