Guest guest
Dear Friends RAM KRISHN HARE It is mentioned in HORA RATNAM,that ashtakvarg dasha is applicable to persons if moon joins any planet in houses other than kendr. Also if 10th house has malefic and benefic both. Further,it uses solar years by converting ashtakvarg age obtained in nakshtra years. It asks to multiply by 324/365. Since such corrections are not given in any other dashas,it is clear that they are based on solar years. It also gives a specific order for construction of individual ashtakvarg. I found that it is different from kakshya sequence. what is its use?May be kakshya order is different for different grahas. Can some one give any classical reference for kakshya sequence and length of kakshyas? I have not seen any direct/indirect clues for kakshyas in any classics. Most references are from recent 1000 years and can not be attributed to Rishis. THANKS Anilkumar OM TAT SAT
Guest guest
Pranama, Would you please explain ashtakavarga dasha. Is it identical to Rashi-Bhukti dasa (a modification of vimshottari in which each maha dasa is partitioned into 8 or 12 segments) or it is not associated with ashtakavarga technique. Prefer that book instead. It follows the Satyacarya principle. Further,it uses solar years by converting ashtakvarg age obtainedin nakshtra years. It asks to multiply by 324/365.[s.Rath:] here again there is an error. Astakavarga, and similar ayur dasa (Pindayu dasa, Nisargayu dasa) are to be reduced by the factor 360/365. check the sanskrit and I think Hora ratnam is generally a compendium. Saravali is again the authority for this.Since such corrections are not given in any other dashas,it is clear that they are based on solar years.[s.Rath:] Yes they are and that is what I follow.
