Guru Poornima rituals

Thanks once again for answering my questions.

1. Just one small doubt, the mantra recommended by you doesnt contain the word

OM, I presume there is a reason behind it since most mantras contain OM, could

you pls explain the reasoning if its not much of a trouble.

2. Since this is poornima, I was in doubt if the fasting should be done during

sunrise to sunset or during the night i.e from sunset to sunrise. I know u

have mentioned getting up at Brahma Muhurtha and also ur post said that

Poornima is on the sunrise of 13th Sunday in bombay,, but still crosschecking

as fasting can be done for both timings

3. When u mention Bhagavad Puranad do you mean Bhagavad Gita.

Visti: One should give to ones Guru and one of the best forms of giving is

fasting, but offering to the Guru is just as good.

2. If one doesn’t have a Guru, then what are the rituals one should do

keeping in mind ParamGuru.

3. What are the do’s and don’ts, any legend behind this Imp event.

Visti: This is Vyasa Poornima, or the day when Sri Vyasa Deva was incarnated

on this earth, at the advent of Dwapara Yuga. One should remember and worship

Vyasa. Reading the Bhagavad Puranad is also recommended.

4. Is it on 12th July or the 13th of July.

Visti: In Bombay Poornima is on the sunrise of the 13th, hence this Sunday.

5. What are the timings for any ritual on this GuruPoornima.

Visti: Get up at Brahma Muhurta and worship Vyasa with the mantra; Vyam

Vyaasadevaaya Namah. atleast 3x108 times.

6. Should people with weak Guru or going thro bad Guru transit be benefitted,

can this be advised for them.

Visti: Yes definitely.
