Dear Swee

Me Again. As you know, I have been searching for a diamond alternative as

well.

There are so many types of quartz available. What should one look out

for... double ended?, tumbled? natural forming, but most rough ones have

specs in them..not sure if this would be regardsd as a flaw. Also does size

of quartz mattter?

Also, I managed to find a beautifully cut White topaz. Its a 21mm round

diamond shape and internally flawless. As per your earlier post, would

topaz's also be heat treated rendering them useless. If this topaz is

suitable, can one wear stones in a pouch in ones pocket or must gem stones

touch the skin in a pendant, bracelet, or ring.

Ive posted this hear so others can benefit from these common questions.

Many Thanks

Bipin

Dear Michal,

Following the sashric tenets, the next best is white sapphire which is a

fraction of the price of diamond. Zircon is double refractive and 99% of

the time, it is heat treated from a greyish tinge to make it a

presentable whitish colour. The cheapest of course is the colourless

quartz. Though Brazillian material also goes through the same heat

treatment on site (even before suppliers get to it).

Hope this helps.
