You are providing us feedback about the validity of jyotish principles in general and how these principles are used for interpretation of events in one's life. Based on your chart, Mars is rather weak due to the association of the Sun in very close proximity. It is likely that 1. Your father (represented by the Sun and the lord of the 9th house) has suffered somewhat due to this conjunction. He may have health issues due to this conjunction. 2. Your family has been very selective in accepting a proper candidate for your marriage partner. 3. Your left eye may be affected, perhaps due to weak vision. If you had enjoyed a good period during the dasha of Mars, it is possibly due to the location of the Moon in the 10th house. Parashara states that benefic planets in kendras erases or mitigates the weaknesses in the chart.
