Guest guest
Respected Gurus and Astrologers, I am just a novice so please forgive me if I am wrong. Is it true that Narad had spread the Jyotish Knowledge to the Saptarshis and relating to Jyotish he was cursed by Param pita Brahma that whosoever practised Jyotish for financial gains will perish. As Jyotish reveals the truth that perhaps is not to be revealed...i.e. the knowledge of man's own destiny.. Is there such a mention in Narad puran (Brahma Narad Samvad) or the any of the Vedas or Upanishads.. Are we ( the astrologers and the various groups)working against the will of the Almighty, trying to decipher the mystries of Nature? This question was put by a scholar in Sanskrit to me and thus I consulting the group for their response. Please do let me know at your earliest... Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear Shouvik, I am a novice too but here are some thoughts from whatever I have read. The houses 3,6,10,11 are upachayas and show growth among other things. These houses also represent the free-will of living entities and as a result we can conlcude that we as human beings have around 33% of freewill. This is of course modified by the placement of planets. Thus Bhagavan does give us some latitude in choosing our actions.A good example given by Sanjay ji is if everything is destiny then why should Bagavan preach the Bagavad Gita to Sri Arjuna. He could have just imposed it. Thus there are courses of actions that can be taken by the human being that can modify his life. Jyotisha is concerned with that part and looking at the horoscope we can guide natives on the right course of action and help them increase their faith in Almighty.
