Guest guest
Dear Sudarshan, Can you please tell me a little bit more about "Vriddhi Karika Principle". With my a little Sanskrit Knowledge, Vriddhi is more/increase, Vriddha is Old age/state, so are these principles related to Shoola Dasa by any chance to predict a senior members in the family like father, mother, uncle etc., Thanks for your help in advance. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear Rao, The principle is used in longevity determination, using the method of three pairs and also other techniques.I am not aware of the philosophical or shastric reasons as to why its being used. But the recent post of Sanjay ji explains the principle in greater detail. You can read further in Jaimini Sutras by Sanjay ji or Narasimha Garu's book in the section that deals with longevity. Hare Krishna Sudharsan |brihaspatim varenyam| Dear Shunny Remember this rule: When planets lord the Lagna and a dusthana, then using the principle of bhavat bhavam, determine the house from where the effects of the dusthana will come. See how the Vriddha Karika uses this rule for longevity matters. If the 8th lord is also the Lagna Lord, then the 8th house from the Lagna lord is to be considered. This is applicable to Libra and Aries Lagna. However, if the 8th house is still the same i.e. Mars is in Aries or Venus is in Libra for Aries/Libra Lagna respectively, then the 8th house from the 8th house i.e. the 3rd house has to be considered as per bhavat bhavam principle. Then Sagittarius will act as the 8th house for Libra and Gemini will act as the 8th house for Aries. Having understood this teaching of the Vriddhas, now come to the sixth house issue. If the Lagna and 6th lords are the same (Taurus and Scorpio), then take the 6th house from the Lagna Lord to indicate the sign which will act as the enemy/6th house. If this is till the same, then the bhavat bhavam principle is used and Pisces will act as the 6th house for Taurus and Virgo will act as the 6th house for Scorpio. My personal experience is that inspite of positions, these houses actually act in the manner indicated by the Vriddhas i.e. Sg acts as 8th house for Li; Ge acts as 8th house for Ar; Vi acts as 6th house for Sc and Pi acts as 6th house for Ta. In real life, this is seen as the check of Jupiter on Venus and the need for legitimate children curbs sexual activity (Ve) to what society defines as ligitimate (Ju) or how the coming of the Guru (Ju) makes a person forget his various mundane desires (Ve) and focus on spirituality (Su). Similarly, compromise (Me) is the best solution to end battles and strife (Ma). Who benefits from what is a separate issue. I know of a "Sadhu" who has benefitted a lot by selling arms and weapons...Kali Yuga Sadhu's. You can see how a beneficial Mars can give from the sources he rules. But the hard question is - Is this good for the World? The answer is NO as Ma is a Natural malefic and Mercury is a natural benefic. My message for today: Make friends with nature (natural benefics) even if it means losing out on the material gains the malefics promise. ~ om tat sat ~ Yours truly, Sanjay Rath vedic astrology, "Rao Nemani" <raonemani> wrote: > Dear Sudarshan, > > Can you please tell me a little bit more about "Vriddhi Karika > Principle". > > With my a little Sanskrit Knowledge, Vriddhi is more/increase, > Vriddha is Old age/state, so are these principles related to Shoola > Dasa by any chance to predict a senior members in the family like > father, mother, uncle etc., > > Thanks for your help in advance. > > Regards > Rao > > vedic astrology, "Sudharsan Srinivasan" > <sudhar108> wrote: > > Hare Rama Krishna > > > > > > Dear Visti, > > > > With reference to your mentioning the presence of abichara due to > the > > 6th lord Venus conjunct Badhakesh Saturn.I happened to read an > > earlier post about the Vriddhi Karika principle, wouldnt that > change > > the 6th lord to the Sun, as he is the 6th lord from Lagnesh?
