Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear Visti, Could you kindly throw some more light on the concept of the Lord of the 64th Navamsa. Why would he be malefic? Also, where would I be able to read in detail about the same. Thanking you in advance for your help. Guest guest
SARVAM GYANANANDAMAYAM JAGAT AUM GURUBYO NAMAH Dear Sudharashan, Namaste. i hope you don't mind me sharing what little i can offer in this regard. 64th Navamsa is nothing but the 210th degree with respect to any point under consideration. In other words it would be the same navamsa in the 8th house with respect to the point under consideration. Let us see a small example. Let us assume the lagna is at 3* Aries. This means the lagna is in the first navamsa. Now let us find out the 64th navamsa. It is the same point in the 8th house which is nothing but Scorpio 3*. This 3* Scorpio position gives a navamsa in Cancer. In short 64th Navamsa is the same point in the 8th house in the rasi chart and is placed in the 4th house from the point/planet under consideration in the Navamsa chart. This is because 64 divided by 12 leaves a balance/remainder of 4. This 64th Navamsa is also called as Khara Navamsa. This is reckoned with reference to Lagna/Moon/Sun. It is common understanding that whenver transit conjunction of major planets takes place in the 64th Navamsa in a nativity(lagna/Moon/Sun) some major event takes place. i believe the 64th Navamsa position reckoned with reference to other planets is still under research. As per stanza 61 of Chapter IX in Prasna marga " if the lord of Chandra Navamsa is inimical, neutral or friendly to the lord of the 64th Navamsa therefrom, the longevity of the person will be short, medium or full. The Sun and lord of Lagna should be similarly reckoned. As per Jataka Parijatha " whenever the lord of 64th Navamsa from the ascendant Navamsa occupies a Dusthana(6/8/12) and is in conjuction with Shani the native will die by swallowing poison and if it is conjoined with Rahu or Ketu his death will be by way of hanging The 22nd Drekkana from that of the Drekkana occupied by the lagna is called as Khara Drekkana. It goes without saying that it is the same point in the 8th house in the Rasi chart. As both these Kharas are used in timing death they are considered as malefics. i hope this is useful.
