Anna,

 

I guess the issue here you are asking is how and what to see from AL

and Lagna. The primary confusion is what if the interpretation from

Lagna (with reference to a planet or bhava) has different

connotations when compared to the Arudha lagna. I will attempt to

clarify based on what was taught to me by my Guru and the lessons of

Varahamihira. Guru's and learned members may please correct me.

 

Definitions

 

Lagna is the Satya peetha. This is our true self. For example, if

a native lives far off from his native place, that is a reality.

 

Arudha Lagna is the manifestation our results in this material

world. What are the yardsticks people use to measure and judge us?

For example, do people (society) think I am happy living in a

foreign land? If I live in the US, maybe people would say, "Yes.

He is doing well for himself" whereas if I am working in Nigeria, it

may not be the same. In other words our true self is hidden and

it's difficult for the world to see that due to its use of

yardsticks in the judgment. But what the world does see however is

what raises from the true self.

 

Now what are the things you need to see from Lagna and from AL?

Let's take another example. D-10 is the focus regarding our

activities in this society. If the lord of the 10th (in D-10) is

posted in a dusthana it could indicate an unstable career. But what

kind of status one enjoys in profession is seen from the Arudha

Pada's. Thus see the A5 in D-10 to understand what kind of

recognition one gets in profession life. The same logic can be

extended to other D-charts as well. For example, if I have to

understand who all are supporting my image (maya) in my work, I

would see the 10th from AL.

 

True happiness from vehicles is seen from the 4th house from lagna

(in D-16). But what kind of a vehicle is it? Is it a BMW 7-series

or a common car everyone buys? This is shown by A4 in D-16. What

would happen if A4 is weak but 4th house is strong? I may have a

very common car but would still be contented.

 

Hope this gives a clue about reading results from lagna and Arudha's.
