spam or virus?--answer

Hey fellows:

 

There is a virus (worm) going around which attaches itself to an e-

mail sent to you from an infected computer. Thereafter, it begans

sending out (forwarding) e-mails in your e-mail account to various e-

mail addresses listed in your account randomly and attaches itself to

all the e-mails it forwards from your e-mail account.

 

This virus is called "BugBear," it originated in Australia and

currently it seems to have infected the computers in India as well.

This is extremely dangerous. Couple of days back I

received "extremely confidential" information from the computer of

someone in India I had done business with 2 years back. It so

happened that my e-mail address was still in this guy's e-mail

account and this virus randomly chose e-mails from his account and

forwarded it to several e-mail addresses stored in his e-mail

account.--this is so dangerous.

 

If you have installed Norton anti-virus in your computer, please do a

disk scan at least once to get rid of this virus from your computer

if you have it.

I got back a mail from post master , but I had not sent it. Another

mail was received masqurading as being sent by Manorama publications.

I do not think they sent it.
