---Om Brihaspataye Namah,

Dear Shri Sanjay Rath,

You have touched upon a vital need. Well spoken! In order to avoid

pliagarism, it should be necessary to acknowlegde the source

whereever possible. Because this system of references is not there

in Jyotish, that is the reason that what ever is taught in parampara

is always more than what is available in printed books.

Your acknowledgement to your forefathers in the form of the so

called Rath rules is indeed commendable but whats more important,

these rules should be placed in a context where it builds upon

rules/concepts already advocated in classic texts such as BPHS,

Saravali etc. If we all can define standard references and build

upon these, then we can go a long way in restoring the lost

respectability of Jyotish. As you have said "I have honestly said

what is from the literature and what is from outside of it", you

have defined clearly the path of dharma and shown others how to

follow it. I will end this with a quote from the Bhagavad Gita:

"Dexterity in action is yoga"

Hari
